Maya Evangeline

Hey berries, was wondering what you think of this name for a hypothetical baby girl!

[name_f]Maya[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like the combination? Also, do you prefer the spelling as [name_f]Maya[/name_f] or [name_f]Maia[/name_f] (both pronounced My-Uh)?

Also considering the use of a second middle but not sure if that’s pretentious. I was thinking [name_f]Grace[/name_f] - so [name_f]Maya[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or [name_f]Maya[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]. Any thoughts?

I really like it. I think it’s pretty. I like the younger sounding first name with the more classic middle name. I prefer the [name_f]Maya[/name_f] spelling. I don’t think a second middle name is pretentious but I think it sounds prettier as just [name_f]Maya[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f].

Thanks, legallybrunette!

I really like it. [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]. Like [name_f]Maya[/name_f]. I prefer the spelling [name_f]Maia[/name_f]. Unfortunately, the only [name_f]Maya[/name_f]/[name_f]Maia[/name_f] I’ve ever known was my spoiled, bratty next door neighbor; if I could get that picture out of my head I would put it on my own list. I don’t think using 2 middle names are pretentious (as long as the names are not over the top). 3 or 4 is too much, but 2 is fine. I prefer [name_f]Maia[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] out of the two.

I love both of these names and have grown particularly fond of [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]. I prefer the spelling [name_f]Maya[/name_f], and also love the variation [name_f]Amaya[/name_f] – gives the name a little more oomph I think. That said, [name_f]Maya[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] sounds a little more balanced than [name_f]Amaya[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] maybe.

I think that since [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] is long and very substantial, having one mn is enough!
