I love it! I prefer the spelling [name_f]Maia[/name_f] for myself but it’s a beautiful name.

I love it! It’s very popular of course but it still feels fresh and distinct to me.
I love it and agree that it has a cool girl, down to earth vibe. It makes me think of [name_f]Maya[/name_f] Hawke, who totally gives off that vibe.
I love [name_f]Maya[/name_f]. It’s the name of my dog, and we actually found it here on Nameberry. Doesn’t come with a lot of nicknames, but it’s a sharp, fresh name that sounds nice.
Like a couple of other commenters, I prefer the [name_f]Maia[/name_f] spelling (and I think, given the pronunciation you’ve written, [name_f]Maia[/name_f] would be mispronounced less often) but I adore the name as a whole! It’s short, classy and elegant with a touch of spunk.
Love [name_f]Maya[/name_f]. I agree with other posts that it can have a down to earth vibe, but I also think it sounds kinda wise and ethereal, like [name_f]Maya[/name_f] [name_f]Angelou[/name_f].
It’s short and simple, but also strong and grounded with some oomf.

I think I’d use the [name_f]Maia[/name_f] spelling because I’ve heard of people debating whether [name_f]Maya[/name_f] is supposed to be pronounced MY-uh or MAY-uh (although who knows whether [name_f]Maia[/name_f] would be clear to people either, really). It’s a lot higher on the most recent SSA list than makes sense to me as I can’t recall meeting any little Mayas in the last 10 years.
