These are some names that aren’t on my list just yet, but that I’ve thought about before. I can’t fully decide to add them or drop them. So I’m looking for yays or nays on these names, and reasons are helpful! Thanks! [name]Just[/name] doing the A names for now.
[name]Aiden[/name] (prefer [name]Aidan[/name] spelling but the name has lost its lustre due to the “ayden” name craze)
[name]Arturo[/name] (prefer just [name]Arthur[/name])
[name]Axel[/name] (too much macho swagger)
[name]Amadeo[/name] (Reminds me of [name]Amadeus[/name] and that horrible song)
[name]Arjun[/name] (Not my culture - wasn’t sure on pronunciation)
[name]Aiden[/name] ([name]Aiden[/name] Trend - enough said)
I like [name]Adam[/name] and [name]Aidan[/name] (spelled this way). I actually really like [name]Aidan[/name] because I don’t know any in my area. Where I live I see tons of [name]Braden[/name]'s, [name]Caden[/name]'s, and Jadens, but I have yet to meet an [name]Aidan[/name]. So yes, it rhymes with those other names, but still feels sort of fresh to my ears.
[name]Adam[/name] - Really [name]Love[/name]. I think it’s super classic.
[name]Adrian[/name] - Pretty cute, but I’d probably never use it personally
[name]Aiden[/name] - I used to hate this name because of the uber popularity around it, but it’s kind of growing on me
[name]Alejandro[/name] - I guess it’s fine if your of Spanish/Latin descent. Otherwise it might sound off.
[name]Amadeo[/name] - [name]Don[/name]'t like.
[name]Ansel[/name] - [name]Don[/name]'t like.
[name]Arjun[/name] - Not sure how that’s pronounced.
[name]Arturo[/name] - A [name]Little[/name] bit too out there for me.
[name]Axel[/name] - Really cute.
[name]Adrian[/name] - Sorry but I DESPISE this name… [name]Way[/name] too unisex in a bad way.
[name]Aiden[/name] - Too popular, but nice.
[name]Alejandro[/name] - Okay I guess.
[name]Amadeo[/name] - Like the name [name]Matteo[/name] much more, so not a fan.
[name]Ansel[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]
[name]Arjun[/name] - Not sure how to pronounce, so other’s will be confused as well.
[name]Arturo[/name] - No, [name]Arthur[/name] sounds better.
[name]Axel[/name] - Too much of a man’s man name.
Thanks for the feedback so far. I’m not really that tied to [name]Aiden[/name] vs [name]Aidan[/name] so either spelling is fine. [name]Arturo[/name] though I would like to see responses just based on the name itself, not [name]Arturo[/name] vs [name]Arthur[/name] since that’s not an option.
I love that you have some Spanish names, I have some picked out just in case and [name]Adrian[/name] is one of them for sure. So is [name]Aaron[/name]. [name]Arturo[/name] is really not my favorite though because it will be anglicized to hard "r"s in English and the beauty of the name is really in those rolled "R"s so it loses all it’s beauty. It’s hard for Americans to get out all those Rs I think.
As a Californian, I like seeing [name]Ansel[/name] on your list. It makes me think of [name]Yosemite[/name]. I can’t really imagine it on a real person, but it definitely has potential.
My favorites:
[name]Amadeo[/name]
[name]Ansel[/name]
Also like:
[name]Adrian[/name]
[name]Arjun[/name]
[name]Arturo[/name]
[name]Alejandro[/name]
[name]Don[/name]'t like
[name]Adam[/name] (know too many of them, it’s classic, but it doesn’t have the same feeling of some of the best classics)
[name]Aiden[/name] (trendy to the n-th power)
[name]Axel[/name] (too [name]Gun[/name]'N’Roses)
