Me Again--New List!

I’m not “sure” yet about a name for [name]Henry[/name]'s sister, so here’s a new list. Please chime in!

[name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Beatrix[/name]
[name]Frances[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Mabel[/name]
[name]Paloma[/name]
[name]Belen[/name]
[name]Eugenie[/name]
[name]Elodie[/name]
[name]Ottilie[/name]
[name]Evangeline[/name]
[name]Marguerite[/name]
[name]Delphine[/name]
[name]Helena[/name]

Thank you, berries!

[name]Maeve[/name]: I love this name. It’s very nice, and it keeps [name]Henry[/name] sounding hip.
[name]Beatrix[/name]: This has been growing on me lately. It pulls henry a bit to the old side, but it’s starting to become a go-to hipsterish name, I think, so this pair will sound very current soon.
[name]Frances[/name]: I love this. So nice. It also feels very hipster to me, but that doesn’t bother me that much.
[name]Matilda[/name]: Another that I love. Hubby wouldn’t go for it, though.
[name]Mabel[/name]: While I love [name]Mabel[/name], it pulls [name]Henry[/name] firmly into fuddy-duddy territory somehow.
[name]Paloma[/name]: I don’t normally need matched sets for siblings, but [name]Paloma[/name] & [name]Henry[/name] are way too much of a style clash for me.
[name]Belen[/name]: See [name]Paloma[/name].
[name]Eugenie[/name]: This could work.
[name]Elodie[/name]: This could also work.
[name]Ottilie[/name]: I’m not a fan at all.
[name]Evangeline[/name]: I love this. A lot. But, it seems to be a bit fussy with [name]Henry[/name]. [name]Eve[/name] would be fabulous, and [name]Evelyn[/name] would work nicely, too, though.
[name]Marguerite[/name]: This could work, but is almost in [name]Evangeline[/name] territory.
[name]Delphine[/name]: Too much.
[name]Helena[/name]: Too matchy. And I never know how to say it. If the matchy doesn’t bother you, I do think that [name]Helen[/name] would be stunning. I also like the nn [name]Nell[/name]. (Wow, twince in one day, I’m suggesting [name]Helen[/name] nn [name]Nell[/name]!)

From this list, as a sister to [name]Henry[/name], I’d pick [name]Maeve[/name], [name]Frances[/name] or [name]Beatrix[/name].

I am in love with [name]Maeve[/name]!

oh my …these names are exquisite!! the only one I dont like is [name]Belen[/name]…sorry…
my absolute favorites are :

[name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Beatrix[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Paloma[/name]
[name]Elodie[/name]
[name]Ottilie[/name]
[name]Evangeline[/name]
[name]Marguerite[/name]

I love [name]Henry[/name]! There are a few in here that I really don’t like with [name]Henry[/name] stylistically. These are [name]Paloma[/name], [name]Belen[/name] (prefer [name]Helen[/name]), [name]Eugenie[/name] (maybe [name]Eulalie[/name]?), [name]Elodie[/name] (love [name]Elinor[/name]/[name]Eleanor[/name] with [name]Henry[/name] though), [name]Marguerite[/name] (though [name]Margaret[/name] would work) and [name]Delphine[/name] (what about [name]Dahlia[/name]?) [name]Ottilie[/name] is on the verge of too different and I really think there are other ones that work so much better.
If I put what if left in order of favorite to least it goes: [name]Beatrix[/name], [name]Matilda[/name], [name]Frances[/name], [name]Mabel[/name], [name]Evangeline[/name] and then [name]Helena[/name]. [name]Helena[/name], I feel, is just too close to [name]Henry[/name] in the beginning sound which is a pity because their styles are perfect together. :frowning:

I love [name]Henry[/name], and I adore your list!

[name]Maeve[/name]: I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]! I think it’s perfect with [name]Henry[/name].

[name]Beatrix[/name]: It’s growing on me… it’s a perfectly fine name, and I really like it with [name]Henry[/name].

[name]Frances[/name]: I love [name]Frances[/name].

[name]Matilda[/name]: I like it, and it goes really well with [name]Henry[/name].

[name]Mabel[/name]: I’ve never been a fan. It just sounds cutesy and old lady at the same time, for some reason.

[name]Paloma[/name]: I love [name]Paloma[/name]! I’m not sure it really goes with [name]Henry[/name] though.

[name]Belen[/name]: I think they’re too different stylistically, though it is pretty.

[name]Eugenie[/name]: Not one of my favorites, and I don’t like the E ending with [name]Henry[/name].

[name]Elodie[/name]: I love [name]Elodie[/name]! E ending, though…

[name]Ottilie[/name]: Very pretty, but I’m not sure it really goes with [name]Henry[/name].

[name]Evangeline[/name]: Also very pretty.

[name]Marguerite[/name]: I love it! [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Marguerite[/name] is gorgeous!

[name]Delphine[/name]: I love [name]Delphine[/name], but I’m not sure it goes with [name]Henry[/name].

[name]Helena[/name]: I love this too, but they might be a little too similar.

My favorites are [name]Maeve[/name], [name]Frances[/name], [name]Matilda[/name], and [name]Marguerite[/name], but all of them are lovely!

Your list is great. [name]Maeve[/name] and [name]Ottilie[/name] are my favorites with [name]Henry[/name]. My vote goes for [name]Ottilie[/name] though as it deserves some exposure.

I love:
[name]Henry[/name] and [name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Henry[/name] and [name]Mabel[/name]

[name]Henry[/name] and [name]Matilda[/name] - how cute and spunky the pair sounds!!!

(I actually like all your M names best with [name]Henry[/name])

I love love love [name]Elodie[/name]!!

[name]Maeve[/name] A sweet name and goes well with [name]Henry[/name]

[name]Beatrix[/name] I think [name]Beatrice[/name] would fit better

[name]Frances[/name] Really don’t like [name]Frances[/name], but [name]Francesca[/name] and [name]Francine[/name] don’t work.

[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Love[/name], love [name]Matilda[/name]]

[name]Mabel[/name] I love [name]Belle[/name] but [name]Mabel[/name] is always “[name]Mabel[/name] The Cow” to me.

[name]Paloma[/name] [name]Way[/name] too foreign with [name]Henry[/name]

[name]Belen[/name] No

[name]Eugenie[/name] Quaint but unless he was [name]Henri[/name] it wouldn’t match imo.

[name]Elodie[/name] Great with [name]Henry[/name] and a very pretty name

[name]Ottilie[/name] Can’t love this one

[name]Evangeline[/name] Beautiful, beautiful!

[name]Marguerite[/name] Nice with [name]Henry[/name] but [name]Daisy[/name] and [name]Henry[/name] work better

[name]Delphine[/name] Too French [name]Delia[/name] would work though

[name]Helena[/name] Elegant and classy like [name]Henry[/name]

Also

[name]Eloise[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Elise[/name]
[name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Laurel[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name]

[name]Maeve[/name]: I really love [name]Maeve[/name]!
[name]Beatrix[/name]: I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name], and think it’s wonderful with [name]Henry[/name]!
[name]Frances[/name]: So sweet…
[name]Matilda[/name]: I love it…
[name]Mabel[/name]: Ditto…
[name]Paloma[/name]: I think it’s beautiful, but I can better see some of the others with [name]Henry[/name].
[name]Belen[/name]: I like some of the others more…
[name]Eugenie[/name]: I think it’s great. (You may also like [name]Eulalie[/name]…)
[name]Elodie[/name]: I think it’s beautiful…
[name]Ottilie[/name]: I so want to love [name]Ottilie[/name], but if people pronounce it “[name]OTT[/name]-illy,” is sounds really close to the word “oddly” to me. It’s probably just me, though.
[name]Evangeline[/name]: I love it!
[name]Marguerite[/name]: Very pretty…
[name]Delphine[/name]: Ditto!
[name]Helena[/name]: I love this, too, but to me, it’s on the matchy side with [name]Henry[/name].

My favorites with [name]Henry[/name]: [name]Beatrix[/name], [name]Mabel[/name], and [name]Evangeline[/name] (I love [name]Evangeline[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]). I think I missed one, but the phone is ringing, so I’ll come back.

I love your list!

Good luck!

I love [name]Henry[/name] & [name]Matilda[/name], [name]Henry[/name] & [name]Eugenie[/name], [name]Henry[/name] & [name]Beatrix[/name].

[name]Maeve[/name]—I love it, but I don’t think it fits well with [name]Henry[/name].
[name]Beatrix[/name]—Very cute, and I can see it with [name]Henry[/name].
[name]Frances[/name]—This makes [name]Henry[/name] seem a bit old, and [name]Frances[/name] isn’t a personal favorite of mine. [name]How[/name] about [name]Francine[/name]?
[name]Matilda[/name]—I love [name]Matilda[/name]! I can definitely see [name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Henry[/name] as a sibset together.
[name]Mabel[/name]—While I adore [name]Mabel[/name], I think it give [name]Henry[/name] an older quality.
[name]Paloma[/name]—Very different from your other names, I think. [name]Paloma[/name] and [name]Henry[/name]…hmm…I’m not sure on this one. [name]Enrique[/name] and [name]Paloma[/name]? Sure. But [name]Henry[/name] is so English, while [name]Paloma[/name] has a distinct Hispanic feel.
[name]Belen[/name]—Same with [name]Paloma[/name]. I love this name as with [name]Paloma[/name], but I don’t think it goes with [name]Henry[/name].
[name]Eugenie[/name]—I honestly don’t think this name is up for a comeback yet, and like [name]Frances[/name], it makes [name]Henry[/name] seem old.
[name]Elodie[/name]—I’m not a huge fan of the double Y-sound ending, especially when one’s a boy and one’s a girl, but if your okay with it, then [name]Elodie[/name] is fine. The only thing is that [name]Elodie[/name] has a more modern, sleek sound than [name]Henry[/name] does.
[name]Ottilie[/name]—Again, the double Y-sound, but the style fits better.
[name]Evangeline[/name]—I really can’t see [name]Evangeline[/name] and [name]Henry[/name] together, mostly because [name]Evangeline[/name] is getting so popular, and [name]Henry[/name] is an older name. The style is a little off.
[name]Marguerite[/name]—I love this name with [name]Henry[/name], but I think the English [name]Margaret[/name] would fit better with [name]Henry[/name] than the French spelling.
[name]Delphine[/name]—I love [name]Delphine[/name], but I fear it may be too exotic next to sensible [name]Henry[/name].
[name]Helena[/name]—If your okay with the two H names, then this one’s great!
