Meaningful Names (help!)

I’m looking for meaningful names for a baby girl that dont sound too teen mom-y (I’m 17).
Some first names that I have liked are
[name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Sienna[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name]
And [name]Carolina[/name].

Some middle names I have liked are
[name]Jade[/name]
[name]Indigo[/name]
[name]Patience[/name]
And [name]Blaze[/name].

Aside from being meaningful, I also have a thing for names more on the badass side. Haha (:

I’m open to all suggestions, and last name will be [name]Ross[/name].
Thanks! -[name]Suzi[/name]

Can you say more about the “meaningful” part? Are the names on your list meaningful, or do they just sound nice to you?

No, the names on my list are not meaningful, that’s just the general sound/style I like. I also like modern mythological names if that helps

I’m confused. [name]Do[/name] you want names that are meaningful to you personally (maybe that reference a favorite relative, place, book, etc.)? Or names with a particular meaning (strong, beautiful, happy, loved, etc.)?

I like [name]Carolina[/name] best…but not with any of your middle name choices, however.
[name]How[/name] about…
[name]Carolina[/name] [name]Joan[/name]
[name]Carolina[/name] [name]Blythe[/name]
[name]Carolina[/name] [name]Jane[/name]

Not to me in particular, sorry for the confusion

[name]Sienna[/name] [name]Jade[/name] is pretty

All of your first name choices are very nice. I like [name]Patience[/name] and [name]Indigo[/name] in your middle name choices, but I wouldn’t use [name]Indigo[/name] with [name]Hazel[/name] or [name]Sienna[/name].
I’m not sure what you mean, exactly, by “meaningful.” I’m also not sure what you mean by “modern mythological” but—
[name]Minerva[/name] is a mythological name that feels really current to me. Or, maybe [name]Athena[/name] or [name]Chloe[/name]? [name]Calliope[/name] is one of my personal favorites, but it gets kind of a mixed reaction. [name]Penelope[/name]? [name]Juno[/name]?

My favorite combinations from your original list are [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Patience[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Indigo[/name]. [name]Both[/name] of those are beautiful - the former is unusual but still pretty traditional, where the latter has a bit more of that “badass”, edgy quality you like. I also very much like [name]Hazel[/name] from your list, but I don’t care for it with any of your middles. [name]How[/name] about: [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Evadne[/name], [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Prairie[/name], [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Samoa[/name]?

Other first names you might like (more on the traditional side):
[name]Alice[/name]
[name]Annabel[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name]
[name]Opal[/name]
[name]Serena[/name]

Other middle suggestions (these have some edge):
[name]Bay[/name]
[name]Cimarron[/name]
[name]Leonelle[/name]
[name]Spring[/name]
[name]Sunniva[/name]

If any of those strike you, let me know! I have plenty more suggestions up my sleeve… and good luck!!

I like the four in your first set, all very classy, but none really radiate “bad-ass”, even a little bit. Except for maybe [name]Sienna[/name], they feel good-girly to me. Which is fine, as they are lovely–just depends on what you are reaching for.

But the group you list as middle names are more edgy (except [name]Patience[/name], of course). [name]How[/name] about [name]Jade[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]?

Or if want something sort of of mythological, how about some options with a little more punch? Maybe [name]Cassia[/name], [name]Nerys[/name], [name]Demi[/name] (from [name]Demetria[/name]), [name]Hebe[/name], or [name]Juno[/name].

Good luck!
