Meanings

I was trying to think of some names that may honor my childhood or personal experiences. I like have the meaningful names in the middle spot.

[name]Terra[/name]- in my hometown, there was a building named the [name]Terra[/name] Centre
[name]Sim[/name] or [name]Maxi[/name]- my favorite game ever is the Sims
[name]Cheyenne[/name]- the street I lived on as a child
Names of Greens([name]Hunter[/name], [name]Jade[/name], [name]Forest[/name], [name]Kelly[/name], [name]Laurel[/name] etc)- [name]Green[/name] is my favorite color
[name]Hawk[/name] or [name]Star[/name]- I was a Blackhawk and my brothers were Stars in school(Mascots)
Birthstones- whatever month they were born in use that birthstone

This is all I got so far. Wdyt? Any other ideas?

I like all of them except [name]Maxi[/name] and [name]Star[/name]. [name]Maxi[/name] makes me think of feminine hygiene products, and [name]Star[/name] sounds like a hooker to me. I love the birthstone idea, and [name]Terra[/name] is my favorite on your list. I love the nostalgia behind your idea.

That’s a really lovely idea! My favourites from your list are [name]Kelly[/name] for a girl and [name]Hunter[/name] for a boy.

I really like the idea of using a meaningful name that isn’t directly after a person! It’s such a sweet way to honor bits of your life and share them with your child. My favorite idea of yours is using a specific shade of green, I think that’s brilliant! Some of the names I like that are similar in reasoning are:

[name]Poppy[/name]-The birth flower for [name]August[/name], my birth month as well as my grandma’s
[name]Aster[/name]-The flower for [name]September[/name], when I got married
[name]Pearl[/name]-The birthstone for [name]June[/name], my [name]MIL[/name] and mama were both born in [name]June[/name]
[name]Axel[/name]-Means “father of peace” and my mom’s middle name is [name]Irene[/name]

Another thing I’ve heard of it using the name of the saint day that the child was born on, or using someone special’s saint day. (I’m not Catholic so I don’t know much about saint’s days, but I think it could be neat.)

I love the idea of using birthstones/astrological signs etc.
So if my son is born a [name]Leo[/name], then his middle name could be [name]Leo[/name]. It works for [name]Aries[/name], [name]Gemini[/name], and [name]Scorpio[/name].

Names of universities or cities of importance.
My boyfriend and I met at a hotel on a street named [name]Kennedy[/name], so that’s a potential name for us.
My dream university is in a city named [name]London[/name], so that’s another one.

Your names based on the colour green is a terrific idea! I love it.
I also like ideas based on their birth, so the time of their birth, the date, the season, special holidays etc.

Thank you everyone for the feedback! I didn’t think of astrological signs or universities! My favorite teams are the Bears and Iowa State Cyclones! So [name]Bear[/name] and [name]Cy[/name] are potentials too! I really think its great to pick out meaningful names
