I’m looking for a first name for a male character of mine, with the last name Charmont (pronounces shar-mo). I’m going for a medieval style, but possibly with a futuristic type spelling. I’ve been searching for one forever ” but I can’t seem to find the right one!
[name_f]Edit[/name_f]: he is of royalty, so I’m looking for a sophisticated type name.
Since Charmont gives off a french vibe I was thinking Timothee, [name_m]Alexandre[/name_m] or [name_m]Raphael[/name_m]. What names have you already thought about and discarded and why? It would help to know what you’re looking for.

I’ve found [name_m]Alistair[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m], and [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]. I found [name_m]Alistair[/name_m] and [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] a bit to old man - ish, I guess, because he’s going to be late teens- early twenties, and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] just didn’t seem to fit, partially because it reminds me of the book [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]'s Twist which is about orphans and I didn’t want that correlation. [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] was one that I thought about a lot, but I want a unique spelling of the name, and I couldn’t find one that I liked.
I do like the spelling of [name_m]Alexandre[/name_m] like that. If you do find an alternate spelling for [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], besides [name_m]Bennet[/name_m] or [name_m]Benett[/name_m], which are the only ones I’ve found, I’d love to see it!
