My first thought was [name]Isabel/name, [name]Agnes[/name], and [name]Mabel[/name]… I found a list of the top 25 girls’ names in the 16th century, and the names they listed were:

[name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Margaret[/name]
[name]Jane[/name]
[name]Agnes[/name]
[name]Isabell[/name]
[name]Anne[/name]
[name]Alice[/name]

[name]Barbara[/name]
[name]Johanna[/name]
[name]Grace[/name]
[name]Frances[/name]
[name]Cicely[/name]
[name]Mabell[/name]
[name]Christabell[/name]
[name]Magdalen[/name]
[name]Thomasin[/name]
[name]Emma[/name]
[name]Susan[/name]

In that order, and with those spellings. This was the source they cited for their info, so that might provide other ideas:

Good luck!

Thanks love the list and I too am quite fond of [name]Ali[/name]énore

[name]Rosalind[/name]! It’s my favorite medieval name.

@Ashthedreamer, @snow_white (I love your user name!) I actually meant to spell it [name]Ali[/name]énor but after looking around I see [name]Ali[/name]énore on some boards so I guess this is either way you like it lol. [name]Hope[/name] you like it with or without the “e” I love the name and sometimes consider changing my [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Anne[/name]-[name]Sophie[/name] combo to [name]Ali[/name]énor(e) [name]Anne[/name]-[name]Sophie[/name] but can’t decide if it’s too over the top or not

I meant to say Aénor as well but was using my phone

[name]Cateline[/name], [name]Melisende[/name]
