I came across the name [name_u]Mika[/name_u] today and I really like it! But if you see it what way do you pronounce it? I really like My-ka. What do you think? Or what’s another spelling I could use?
I would assume mee-ka, but I could see my-ka and think I would easily remember it once corrected.
Mee-ka. I’d pronounce [name_u]Micah[/name_u] as my-ka, although that’s a boys name.
It’s My-ka
I would say My KA.
I would say MEE-ka.
If I saw [name_u]Mika[/name_u] I would assume [name_f]Meeka[/name_f]/meika. if I saw a y in it I would assume [name_u]Micah[/name_u]/My-ka.
I like [name_u]Micah[/name_u] for a boy a lot. I also love it for a girl and have been debating my spelling choices for a girl [name_u]Micah[/name_u]. I like the [name_u]Micah[/name_u] version for a boy but I don’t know how I’d spell it for a girl. [name_f]Mikah[/name_f]? Weird. [name_f]Mykah[/name_f], worse.
I pronounce it Mee-ka as I have met someone who pronounces it this way. I would pronounce [name_u]Mica[/name_u] as my-ka, though you will probably get mispronunciations no matter how you spell it.
Mee-kah…
Mee-kah. My-kah would be [name_u]Micah[/name_u] or [name_f]Meike[/name_f].
Mee-ka. My-ka (spelled [name_u]Micah[/name_u]) is a boy’s name.
I would assume My-ka…but I could see it being pronounced Mee-ka too.
I see it as MEE-ka.
Agree with pp, [name_u]Micah[/name_u], [name_u]Mica[/name_u] and [name_f]Myka[/name_f] I would pronounce as MY-ka
I would say mee-ka, as there’s a singer with that name.
I would say My-Ka, I’ve only ever known ‘Mee-ka’ to be spelt as [name_f]Mieke[/name_f]/[name_f]Meike[/name_f].
I pronounce it Mee-ka.
If I saw [name_u]Mika[/name_u] I would definitely say My-ka
I would pronounce it MEE-ka. I’ve seen [name_u]Micah[/name_u] used mostly for boys but I do know of a few girl [name_u]Micah[/name_u]'s, too.
I’d say MEE-ka for [name_u]Mika[/name_u].
[name_f]Myka[/name_f] would be MY-ka, as would [name_u]Micah[/name_u]. [name_u]Mica[/name_u], too, since that’s how the silicate mineral is pronounced.
I say Me-ca because the girl named [name_u]Micah[/name_u] who I knew pronounced it Me-ca. But if you told me it was My-ka I would be able to adapt to that. Maybe spell it [name_f]Myka[/name_f]?
