What would you think of a little [name_f]Melba[/name_f]?
Hubby and I are considering it for sentemental reasons, and no it has nothing to do with the crackers or opera singer
It sounds a bit heavy, but I myself do like a lot of clunky names. Is it TOO clunky?
Crushing on the combo of [name_f]Melba[/name_f] [name_f]Flower[/name_f]
[name_f]Melba[/name_f] has a nice sound, but it makes me think of [name_f]Melba[/name_f] toast which is a bit of an odd association for a name. (Maybe this depends on where you live though.) There’s also opera singer Dame [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] [name_f]Melba[/name_f] which is a nice association.
I much prefer [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], though I think [name_f]Melba[/name_f] would be sweet in the MN spot. I grew up in the area of [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] [name_f]Melba[/name_f]'s home, Coombe Cottage, so personally the connection is VERY hard for me to break. However, I absolutely love [name_m]Melbourne[/name_m], so the idea of using it in the middle name spot is quite nice.
[name_f]Melba[/name_f] is nice - but very Dame [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] to me (which is good as I love opera), so if the connection bothers you, I might steer clear.
[name_f]Melba[/name_f] is alright, especially if you call her [name_f]Mellie[/name_f]. [name_f]Melba[/name_f] [name_f]Flower[/name_f] makes her name sound like an apothecary plant. Maybe [name_f]Melba[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] or [name_f]Melba[/name_f] [name_f]Lilac[/name_f]? [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!
