I think I’m replacing [name_f]Melisande[/name_f] with Elysande. I’m still not sure how to spell Elysande… [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like Elisanda, Elysant, Helisant or any other version of Elysant? What are all versions of Elysande? I think I prefer Elysant spelling.
Wdyt of [name_f]Melisande[/name_f]? Wdyt of Elysant/Elysande? Which do you prefer?
I had [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Melisande[/name_f] on my list and I know it’s gorgeous, I just don’t love it as much other berries do. What do you think of [name_f]Leda[/name_f] Elysant ([name_f]LAYda[/name_f])? Or [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] Elysant? Or [name_f]Freya[/name_f] Elysande? Is [name_f]Freya[/name_f] Elyande too much y’s? Maybe it’s [name_f]Freya[/name_f] Helisant?
I’m kind of having the same dilemma here. [name_f]Melisande[/name_f], [name_f]Melisende[/name_f], etc. and now Elysande and the gang. I love all of your combos though! But I don’t think I’ll be much help in narrowing things down for you. XD
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite variation is [name_f]Melisende[/name_f] just because I think an -E sound is more feminine. [name_m]Just[/name_m] out of interest do you pronounce the last e?
[name_f]Freya[/name_f] Elysande is lovely and I don’t think there are too many y sounds. In fact, I think that it aids flow in this case. [name_f]Leda[/name_f] isn’t my favourite but that’s just personal opinion. Elysendis is beautiful with ample nicknames! This would be my second pick after [name_f]Melisende[/name_f]!
I love your naming style!X
I’m having the same problem with the ‘Lottes’. Completely undecided. [name_f]My[/name_f] fiance is Dutch, which pushes me towards [name_f]Lotte[/name_f], but concern about pronunciation brings me to [name_f]Lottie[/name_f], which makes me feel like I have to go with [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. [name_f]Lotta[/name_f] is on my list, too.
I’m happy you like my naming style and [name_f]Freya[/name_f] Elysande! I think I pronounce [name_f]Melisande[/name_f] - [name_u]Mel[/name_u]-ee-saynd, while [name_f]Melisende[/name_f] is [name_u]Mel[/name_u]-ee-sehndeh to me. I think Elysande pronounced [name_f]Elle[/name_f]-ee-saynd should not cause any troubles.
I looked at the page you listed. Beautiful find! I would spell it the same way that historic person the article described spelled her name as I think it lends authenticity to the name. When people say I have never heard that name before she can refer them to the history of her name. I also think that given the history of the name they may be slightly off on the meaning. Elisenda makes me think of the name [name_f]Elise[/name_f] which is from [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and means consecrated to God. This would make the names meaning more like Consecrated to God’s path. I love that picture and on meaning alone would choose it over [name_f]Melisande[/name_f].
