I love both, but prefer [name_f]Melissa[/name_f] because of the sound.
[name_f]Melissa[/name_f] always reminds me of molasses, and [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] of miracles. Plus [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] has the [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] association from The [name_f]Tempest[/name_f] - it’s a powerful but not out there name and sounds fresher, less common, and less dated than [name_f]Melissa[/name_f].
I prefer [name_f]Melissa[/name_f].
I honestly couldn’t vote because I love them both
I’m not into either, but [name_f]Melissa[/name_f] sounds more dated to me, and I’m not into the -liss- sound at all.
I don’t like the -anda- of [name_f]Miranda[/name_f], but [name_f]Mira[/name_f] is really cute, and I appreciate the Shakespearean connection. Voted for [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] ^^
I really like both, but I voted for [name_f]Melissa[/name_f]. I have [name_f]Melissa[/name_f] on my list actually, but can’t use [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] myself, as it’s my cousin’s name.
I really like the sound of [name_f]Melissa[/name_f]. [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] isn’t really my cup of tea.
[name_f]Melissa[/name_f], especially with the nn [name_u]Mel[/name_u]!
I vastly prefer [name_f]Miranda[/name_f], which I find to be really sophisticated.
[name_f]Melissa[/name_f] sounds dated to me.
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]. I think it’s beautiful, and it has the bonuses of being a Shakespearean name and the lovely nickname [name_f]Mira[/name_f]. [name_f]Melissa[/name_f] feels very dated to me.
Not a fan of either one, but I do like [name_f]Marisa[/name_f].
