What are your thoughts on the name [name_f]Melody[/name_f]? Thanks!
It feels dated to me, but still very pretty. It’s got a sing-songy feel, haha.

I think it is pretty in the age of [name_f]Aria[/name_f] and [name_f]Cadence[/name_f] being on trend names.

[name_f]Melody[/name_f] is lovely. I’ve never met anyone with the name so I don’t consider it dated (but I do consider [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] to be dated).
I have come across one person named [name_f]Melody[/name_f]. She was a few years younger than I am. So she would be 20 now.
It has a pretty sound, but it does feel I bit dated to me. I prefer [name_f]Elodie[/name_f].
I’m shocked that [name_f]Melody[/name_f] ranked at 174 last year! It is one of those names that is familiar, but that I figured nobody was using. I got a more 1930s-40s vibe from it than the rankings suggest, but then I realized it was because I was associating it with those old [name_f]Merrie[/name_f] Melodies cartoons.
I think it’s pretty and - rankings aside - unexpected. [name_f]My[/name_f] only drawback is that I don’t care for the nickname [name_u]Mel[/name_u].

[name_f]Melody[/name_f] is a lovely name and I’ve never actually met anyone with this name so I had no idea it has been consistently in the top 1000 for so long.
I love the name [name_f]Melody[/name_f], as well as [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f]. Thought you may like that as well.
I’ve kind of found myself liking Mélodie more (amongst other musical names), and I love how it looks/ could be pronounced. I do quite like [name_f]Melody[/name_f] (added bonus of a [name_m]Doctor[/name_m] Who reference :)), although I don’t particularly like the possible nn [name_u]Mel[/name_u].
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it! I love [name_u]Mel[/name_u] as a nickname too! Great hidden gem of a name.
I prefer [name_f]Melodie[/name_f] but I like it. The nickname [name_u]Mel[/name_u] dates it for me.
I like it! Probably because it reminds me of [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] lol so I would probably change the spelling to [name_f]Melodie[/name_f]. It is a very nice name and as previously mentioned, in the age of musical sounding names like [name_f]Aria[/name_f] it will fit in nicely.
