Mendel

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] guys, what are your thoughts on [name_m]Mendel[/name_m]?
Possible middle would be [name_m]Ezra[/name_m].

I think its interesting and I do like unique names but I feel it will often be mispronounced as [name_m]Wendel[/name_m]

I think it would be a very uncommon pair. For those in the know of Hebrew/Yiddish names, hearing them together would throw them for a loop.

Personally, I really like [name_m]Ezra[/name_m]. [name_m]Mendel[/name_m] is not my taste.

[name_m]Mendel[/name_m] is interesting. I actually quite like the sounds. [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_m]Mendel[/name_m] flows better but [name_m]Mendel[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] works too

[name_m]Mendel[/name_m] isn’t bad, though it’s very surname-y. For some reason I assumed you were naming a daughter when I heard it, but maybe that’s just me? If you can think of some nicknames it’d probably be usable, though.

I immediately think of [name_m]Gregor[/name_m] [name_m]Mendel[/name_m], which in my mind is a GREAT albeit slightly nerdy reference.

I definitely prefer it as a middle name but if you like it, go for it!

I’ve never heard [name_m]Mendel[/name_m] used as a first name. It isn’t my personal taste, but I think it could work. [name_m]Mendel[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] seems a bit choppy, maybe you’d like [name_m]Mendel[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], [name_m]Mendel[/name_m] [name_u]Elias[/name_u], or [name_m]Mendel[/name_m] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]?

I also really strongly associate [name_m]Mendel[/name_m] with [name_m]Gregor[/name_m] [name_m]Mendel[/name_m] / mendelian genetics. Not a bad association! But a strong one
