I love the Welsh name [name]Meredith[/name] too. I don’t know why you wouldn’t think it’s usable unless you’re worried it may sound odd where you live in [name]Sweden[/name]. It’s not a popular name in [name]North[/name] [name]America[/name] but it’s quite familiar to most people. I like it’s vintage sweetness and simplicity. I think the nn [name]Merry[/name] would be quite adorable too for a little girl.

Of course it is, and I like it a lot. Not sure how good it’ll sound in Swedish though.

Oh it’s definitely usable, I know several. It’s a name I do hear around, but it’s used pretty quietly.

I love [name]Meredith[/name], and I think it would sound really cute in swedish!

It will probably sound really funny.
Something like Märeditt ~ [British long pron of [name]Mary[/name]].
And here in [name]Sweden[/name] some English names easily gets the term WT. Like [name]Liam[/name], [name]Kevin[/name] - [name]Kimberly[/name], sad but true.

So I’m a bit divide. But it such a classic, royal sounding name :slight_smile:

I’ve always loved the name, and highly considered it for my own kid. I work at a rock climbing gym and spend a lot of time with kids. I met a little girl named [name]Meredith[/name] and I couldn’t help feeling it was too “old” for a six-year-old. It’s one of those names that kids need to grow into.

I really love [name]Meredith[/name], it’s on my list. It’s so pretty and sophisticated, without being girly or frilly. And lots of nickname potential ([name]Merry[/name], Mer, [name]Edie[/name]…even [name]Red[/name] or [name]Edith[/name]!).

Absolutely it’s useable! I grew up with a few girls named [name]Meredith[/name]. Usually they went by the nickname Mer. It’s a very nice name!
