A friend of mine is considering the name [name]Meredy[/name]. Personally I like it and think it sounds pretty, kinda reminds me of the sea. What do other people think?
It’s ok. It does sound pretty and soft and sweet, but I love [name]Melody[/name] best.
[name]Meredy[/name] reminds me of [name]Melody[/name], which I love.
[name]Melanie[/name] is cute.
[name]Mel[/name] is a cute nn.
It could grow on me.
It looks like a nn for [name]Meredith[/name] which I love much better.
This. Doesn’t sound like a full name on its own.
I think it’s okay as a nickname for [name]Meredith[/name] or [name]Merida[/name], but on it’s own it just sounds off, like something is missing…
What about [name]Melody[/name]?
Looks like a misspelling of “Remedy”. I assume it’s pronounced [name]Mare[/name]-uh-dee?
It’s cute, but I don’t love it, sorry.
Ditto for my.
[name]Meredy[/name] is lovely though!
Honestly, I think it sounds made up. Or like someone mispronounced [name]Melody[/name].
I agree that it would work better as a nn for [name]Meredith[/name] or [name]Merida[/name].
I feel like I am saying [name]Melody[/name] with a speech impediment.
I really don’t like it, I’m sorry. [name]Merida[/name] or [name]Melody[/name] would be great alternates.
It’s pretty, but I agree with the others that it sounds so similar to other names that it would be mistaken often for [name]Melody[/name], [name]Meredith[/name], etc. If you really love it, I would use it as a nickname for [name]Meredith[/name] or [name]Merida[/name]. It is very cute and pretty!
I would use either [name]Melody[/name] or [name]Meredith[/name], nn [name]Meredy[/name].
Also, I just thought, if it’s the sound you like and not necessarily the spelling. What about a double-barrelled name like [name]Mara[/name]-[name]Dee[/name]?
It honestly sounds like someone who can’t pronounce [name]Melody[/name] - which I find prettier. I can see the appeal of [name]Meredy[/name] (I like names that end in “dee” and “nee” sounds), but this one doesn’t cut it for me.
