WDYT of [name]Merida[/name]?
I know that its the name of the main character in the movie ‘Brave,’ but I seriously [name]LOVE[/name] it!
Also, this name honors my great aunt Meridee, who has been through a lot, including cancer, like me.
Anyway, I just wanted your thought on [name]Merida[/name] :).

[name]IMO[/name] [name]Merida[/name] is a very pretty name with lots of potential and the family value gives it that much more! If you love it, use it. Sometimes names take a while to work themselves out and sometimes they just jump at you, it sounds like this is one of those lucky occurrences 
[name]Merida[/name] is gorgeous, and a nice way to honor your great aunt.

I think it’s beautiful! It looks very pretty, I just keep pronouncing it 2 different ways but they both sound very pretty as well.

What is the proper pronunciation?
I love [name]Merida[/name]! We can’t use it though since my fiance’s sister is [name]Meredith[/name], so it’s too close…
As for pn, in the movie they say it as “mer-ih-duh” mer as in mare, ih, as in ick, and duh as in duck

It’s really grown on me! I was sort of afraid it’d be a bit like [name]Katniss[/name] or [name]Renesmee[/name] when the movie first came out, but I’ve grown to really like it. It’s both soft and striking, a bit spicy, I really like it. [name]Merida[/name] kind of seems like a mix of [name]Mercy[/name] and [name]Malia[/name], both of which I love. I think it’s great, and I love that it has family significance for you. I think it’s great!
