Met a baby girl named Valerie today!

[name]Just[/name] thought I would share this with you berries! I’ve never known anyone with the name [name]Valerie[/name], and I was wondering if this is in the so called “old lady names” category. I do like it though. It helps that she looks just like a little [name]Valerie[/name] should :]

[name]Valerie[/name] is nice. It actually feels really dated to me–you’ve never met a [name]Valerie[/name]? I’ve only met one, to be honest, but I feel like it was a trendy name in the 80s. It is nice, though. I personally prefer [name]Valeria[/name]–I had a friend who was going to name her daughter [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Valeria[/name], which I think is so pretty. I would consider [name]Valeria[/name] myself, if it didn’t sound so much like malaria. :frowning:

Not old lady to be but in the still old [name]Donna[/name], [name]Judy[/name], [name]Tracy[/name], [name]Karen[/name], [name]Julie[/name] - dated 60’s-80’s ish names. I really don’t like it.

I like [name]Valerie[/name]. I know a few, most are 70’s or early 80’s babies, but it doesn’t feel as dated to me as some names from that time period.

I knew a [name]Valerie[/name] (she was born in the 1960’s). I don’t mind it really as I’ve heard worse from that same period. I like its meaning “strength” and I like the sound of “valor” in the name. It’s actually an old [name]Roman[/name] surname ([name]Valerius[/name]) and [name]Val[/name]éry is common in [name]France[/name] as a boys name.

I’ve never met a [name]Valerie[/name], but I’ve met 3 Valerias, 2 of them must be twenty-one now, and the third must be 15.

I don’t care for [name]Valerie[/name]/a, it seems a bit plain…
