Met a little girl named....

[name]Skylee[/name]. (Not sure of spelling.)

My impression was “eyeroll.” (In my head, of course.) Not to be mean, but this definitely seems like a made up name to go with all the other tryndee girl names out there right now.

Any other impressions? Anybody out there happen to like this name?

I like [name]Skye[/name], it’s a bright and happy name. [name]Skylee[/name]/Skaileigh/Skyleigh or any other variation just brings it down.

I wouldn’t see an issue though if the girl’s name were [name]Skye[/name] [name]Leigh[/name] and her parents just call her by her full name. But to turn it into something tryndee is just too much.

I’m definitely with you on the eye roll. I’m not a fan of [name]Skye[/name]/ [name]Skyler[/name] or [name]Kylie[/name] but I’d choose either over [name]Skylee[/name]. The combo just sounds really made up.

I can’t understand why people do this to their own children’s names. So irritating. Can you picture a lawyer or an accountant named [name]Skylee[/name]? :???:

Honestly, I think there is enough of these names out there now that it probably doesn’t seem that awful or unusual to most people in real life. It isn’t the worst but I personally don’t find it too attractive. [name]Skylar[/name] or [name]Kylie[/name] or [name]Skye[/name] would be much better. But there is Hay, [name]Bay[/name], [name]Shay[/name], [name]Ky[/name], My, lie/lee/leighs(whatever the spelling is) so why not [name]Sky[/name] too?

Not a fan - especially since I think [name]Skye[/name] is such a pretty name. Why not any of the variations that have already been posted? However, I think I still prefer it over the last “eye roll” name I saw - a little girl in my son’s class: [name]Trystyn[/name].

I hate it - it’s so juvenile and childish sounding.

my daughter’s name is Skyleigh [name_f]Rebekah[/name_f] and it fits her perfectly! She is such a happy perfect little girl and she is my joy in life. I dont care how much everyone hates it. We wanted something different and in over 3 years of her life [name_m]Ive[/name_m] never seen another
