Does anyone know of any Mexican/Portuguese names that can have the nickname [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]? My grandmother is Portuguese and my grandfather is Mexican and I’d like a name that honors either of their cultures while keeping the nickname [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]. Middle name will likely be [name_m]Florence[/name_m].
The only one I can think about is [name_m]Teodoro[/name_m].
You can always go with the Mexican version of [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] —> [name_f]Teodora[/name_f], or [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] I also thought using a Te name would also work [name_f]Teresa[/name_f] and [name_f]Telma[/name_f] coming to mind! Is there an importance to using the name [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]? It be hard to check everything off your list
so maybe a compromise would work best, I’m Mexican so I find that Spanish origin names with [name_f]English[/name_f] nick names while possible are hard when you want the American nickname more than the Mexican name! Our culture is beautiful maybe a Mexican name instead I think [name_f]Teodora[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] flows well however and my pick for you!
