...Micah?

Hello berries!

First— I am incredibly picky about girl names. For whatever reason, very few seem to actually resonate with me. However! Recently I came across [name_u]Micah[/name_u]— for a girl. It doesn’t really work as a first name, but I kind of love it for a nickname! [name_u]Micah[/name_u] [name_f]Evadne[/name_f]! But I haven’t found any full names that could have the nickname [name_u]Micah[/name_u]. I can’t use [name_f]Michelle[/name_f], because I have a relative with the name, and I don’t like [name_f]Michaela[/name_f]/Makayla. Any ideas for a full name for nickname [name_u]Micah[/name_u]?

Thanks!! You guys are invaluable!!

Micah [name_f]Evadne[/name_f] is super cute. It totally works as a full name imo - I have a distant cousin named [name_u]Micah[/name_u] (g).

Micaiah was my only thought for a full name?

I like [name_u]Micah[/name_u] on its own! Unfortunately there aren’t many names beginning with Mic-

Here is a list I found.

I’m wondering if there’s a name ending with -mica, but I can’t think of any off the top of my head!

I love [name_u]Micah[/name_u] for a girl! I have it in my personal list as well. I agree with the previous poster that I much prefer it on it’s own. The only long name that comes to mind would be [name_f]Michaela[/name_f]

Micah for a girl is adorable! I love it on its own, but if you’d like a full name, Machaia or [name_f]Macayla[/name_f] (pronounced EYE-la) could be cute.

Amica or Amicah would be cute. Or you could use a hyphenated name like [name_u]Micah[/name_u]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_u]Micah[/name_u]-[name_f]Jane[/name_f].

WHat about [name_f]Michaela[/name_f]? Or Michaelah, if you really like the H.

ETA: Oh, sorry, just saw that you said you didn’t like those!

I think [name_u]Micah[/name_u] could be used as a full name, it doesn’t sounds too nicknamey! The only other name I can think of that hasn’t been mentioned is [name_f]Mareike[/name_f] “muh-rye-kuh”

I know girl [name_u]Micah[/name_u]’s where [name_u]Micah[/name_u] is a full name. Never heard of it as a nn for something else.

Hard to think of any besides [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] that aren’t sorta stretches, but I personally don’t think nns have to be perfectly obvious. Perhaps:

Marcella/Marceline
[name_f]Millicent[/name_f]
[name_f]Monica[/name_f]

Micah [name_f]Evadne[/name_f] is gorgeous

Maybe something like [name_f]Maia[/name_f] [name_u]Calypso[/name_u] nn [name_u]Mica[/name_u] could work?

For [name_u]Micah[/name_u]…

Milan
[name_f]Millicent[/name_f]
[name_f]Mildred[/name_f]
Well, actually I am going to go out on a limb and say that tons of M names could be nnd [name_u]Micah[/name_u].

My best friend is a girl named [name_u]Micah[/name_u]. I much prefer it on a boy, but it’s fine on a girl too. I don’t really see why it must be a nickname, though. All the Micahs I’ve ever met are just [name_u]Micah[/name_u], and it seems substantial enough to stand on its own. [name_f]My[/name_f] first thought for a full name would be [name_u]Micaiah[/name_u].

I live [name_u]Micah[/name_u] for a girl!! It was one of our top 3 names for our third girl…
I don’t think it needs to be a nn.
We almost went with [name_u]Micah[/name_u] [name_u]Skye[/name_u]
I still kinda miss it :joy:

I knew a girl named [name_u]Mica[/name_u] growing up and always thought it was a pretty name. I’m not sure if dropping the H actually makes it come across more feminine, or if I just think of that as the “girl version” of [name_u]Micah[/name_u] because I knew her.
