I am struggling to find and decide on the perfect middle name for [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] is my mother n laws name…so [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is fitting. Now I feel funny about naming my possibly only daughter after my mother n law. My moms name is [name_u]Kaye[/name_u]. So what is your opinion of [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_u]Kaye[/name_u]?? Or [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] or is there some other name that is similar to [name_u]Kaye[/name_u] or short for [name_u]Kaye[/name_u]?? Please help.
I think your best bet is to use a variation of [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], as [name_u]Kaye[/name_u] also is. Some suggestions:
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Caterina[/name_f]- an Italian variation of [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], a nice mix of origins with [name_f]Margot[/name_f].
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Catriona[/name_f]- pronounced like [name_f]Katrina[/name_f] without having an association with [name_f]Hurricane[/name_f] [name_f]Katrina[/name_f].
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]- short and sweet.
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_u]Kit[/name_u]- [name_u]Kit[/name_u] doesn’t appeal to everyone but works well with [name_f]Margot[/name_f], because [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is very feminine and [name_u]Kit[/name_u] is more unisex. It could be a cool combo.
I’m sorry I don’t have a whole lot of suggestions, but I hope it gets you started!
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Karine[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Kaylin[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Katerina[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Karina[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Catalina[/name_f] / [name_f]Katalina[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_u]Kai[/name_u]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_u]Kaye[/name_u] isn’t ideal but I think honoring someone is more important than the flow of the combo. If [name_f]Margot[/name_f] sounds good with your surname, I would use [name_u]Kaye[/name_u] if you like it best from any version of the name. After all, we don’t use our mn’s very much in real life so the sound of the first and last names are more important. [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] or [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Caitlin[/name_f] are other options not mentioned by the previous poster.
I like [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] & [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Catalina[/name_f] best.
