Trying to decide on the best middle for amaryllis (it’s one of my husband’s top 3 but I’m choosing the middle and am having a hard time deciding for this one). I had settled on amaryllis isobel but bluma isobel is a new top favorite of mine that I’d really, really like to hold on to if he doesn’t choose it for this baby!!!
My original top favorite was amaryllis elora for both sound and meaning but with sister’s middle of “liora” it just sounds way too close to me!
My other thoughts were:
amaryllis celeste (runs into each other? last name starts with a “d” sound too so it feels clumsy to me in my American English.)
amaryllis celine (runs into each other? does celine just sound like saline?)
amaryllis colette (just don’t know)
amaryllis milena (not sure)
amaryllis beatrice (not sure)
amaryllis jane (doesn’t feel substantial enough to me)
I also like the look of amaryllis lucille but not sure I like how I pronounce it!
I don’t want a double floral name or a middle beginning with “A” and preferably not an “E” either.
I think my short list is done once I figure this out!
Thank you’s to everyone who offers feedback!

[name_f]Bluma[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] is really special, I’m not surprised you want to reserve [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] for this! [name_f]Celine[/name_f] definitely doesn’t sound anything like saline the way I say them (su-leen vs say-line with a long i) but there are probably many transatlantic differences in our approach to both!
Some suggestions revolving around [name_f]Elora[/name_f], [name_u]Celeste[/name_u] and [name_f]Colette[/name_f]
[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] Lizabet / [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f]
[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] / [name_f]Cosmina[/name_f]
If not [name_f]Jane[/name_f], how about [name_f]Janiya[/name_f] / [name_f]Jania[/name_f]?
Alternatives to [name_f]Lucille[/name_f]:
[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Lucasta[/name_f]
[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f]
[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_u]Lux[/name_u]
[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Lusine[/name_f]
[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Lumi[/name_f]
If not [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]:
[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Behati[/name_f] / [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] / [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f]
Inspired by [name_f]Milena[/name_f]:
[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_u]Miel[/name_u]

Thank you, [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f] or [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Lilibeth[/name_f] were on my list before! (I wasn’t sure if they were too close to “Gwyniveth Liora” or just close enough to be complementary.)
Hadn’t thought of [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Lumi[/name_f], I’ll think on this one some more, I like the meaning for me!)
[name_u]Miel[/name_u] is a sweet suggestion! (I definitely like the [name_u]French[/name_u] pronunciation but it sounds clumsy to me in my dialect.)
Thank you for your suggestions!

I like the simplicity of [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], actually! But I think [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f] is nice too, even though it’s not my usual thing. How do you feel about [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]? I feel like [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] is really sweet, and since there’s a [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] in the Bible, I figure it automatically could fit your criteria. I’ve been contemplating [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] for a while… and I like the sweetness of [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] next to the bold [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f]?

[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is my favourite. The names don’t run into each other or your surname, and it doesn’t feel insubstantial at all - I’d actually say [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] sounds stronger and more solid than the other combos.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f]! The sharp, crisp sounds of [name_f]Colette[/name_f] compliment [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] and I like the way it feels elegant and stylish, but bright and energetic too. I like [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Celine[/name_f] too (not too like Saline) - sparkly and lovely!
A few ideas:
[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Josette[/name_f]
[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Matilde[/name_f]

[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Mairead[/name_f]
[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Ivette[/name_f] / [name_f]Yvette[/name_f]

[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] is very pretty to me too! For her official name I think it’s too close to [name_f]Liora[/name_f] for my taste but I do have [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] on my list as a possibility for the Spanish nickname I’ll use for [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] since the meaning “to sparkle” goes along with [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] “light”!

@ashthedreamer and @marysia Jane was actually my top choice for a while but I wasn’t sure if it felt out of place/lacking next to big sister’s name.
@ashthedreamer Chloe is cute but I do prefer Colette
I don’t have the best personal association with the name Chloe!
