[name_m]Long[/name_m] story short: I had a miscarriage and an emergency hysterectomy following uterine rupture. We had planned for years on using [name_f]Calista[/name_f] [name_f]Roisin[/name_f] for a girl. We are now using a gestational surrogate (our bun, her oven) to help us complete our family. If baby is a girl I’m wondering if we should consider adding a second middle to honor our surrogate. Her name is [name_f]Laura[/name_f] and I have been thinking about [name_f]Calista[/name_f] [name_f]Roisin[/name_f] [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f].
Thoughts on this? How does [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] sound with the rest of the name? Would you honor a surrogate in this way? Would you recommend another combination?
There’s a Facebook Watch series called 9 Months with [name_f]Courteney[/name_f] Cox and one of their families with a surrogate did this!! They had a girl so the baby’s middle name was her surrogate’s first name. Although they used the exact name, rather than a variation.
I think either [name_f]Laura[/name_f] or [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] is fine! But I personally prefer the variation [name_u]Laurel[/name_u].
Wow, what a gorgeous name, and such an incredibly lovely way to honor your surrogate. I think [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] is perfect, and flows so wonderfully in that combo.
I think it’s a lovely idea to honor her. I prefer the more classic [name_f]Laura[/name_f] though - [name_f]Calista[/name_f] [name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Roisin[/name_f] works well.
This is a lovely idea, and [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] fits beautifully with the first and middle name you have picked. [name_f]Calista[/name_f] [name_f]Roisin[/name_f] [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] is a beautiful name!
I prefer the flow of [name_f]Calista[/name_f] [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] [name_f]Roisin[/name_f], but both are beautiful and it depends on what sounds better with your surname. It’s really sweet to include her in your baby’s name. Maybe if you have a boy you could work [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] into it somehow.
