[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I have finally settled on first names for our first child, due in early [name_f]September[/name_f]. We are not finding out the sex, so we have a boy and a girl option ready.
[name_m]Ritter[/name_m] is a family name (my mother’s maiden name) and also [name_m]German[/name_m] for knight. [name_u]Arden[/name_u] we just plain like, and it’s a bit of a nod to [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m]. (For stylistic background, our other frontrunners were [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] and [name_f]Esther[/name_f].)
We are at a complete loss regarding middle names. I generally like the idea of plain, simple middle names.
Good, solid, classic names with a lengthy run of use, but not QUITE as predictable as [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f]/[name_f]Grace[/name_f] are as simple middle names at the moment.
Good thought! I’ve never considered [name_m]Joel[/name_m]. I really like [name_f]Claire[/name_f]!
I’m glad what you said about the predictable middles. [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] are both absolutely off the table for us (as both are first names of our exes!)
[name_u]Arden[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is absolutely lovely! [name_f]Adore[/name_f] that suggestion.
I also thought of
[name_u]Arden[/name_u] [name_u]Grey[/name_u]
[name_u]Arden[/name_u] [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_u]Arden[/name_u] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]
[name_u]Arden[/name_u] [name_f]Sienna[/name_f]
And even if [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a bit predictable, I think [name_u]Arden[/name_u] is a very different name and the combination [name_u]Arden[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is quite lovely.
Not sure that any of those are really your style, but they sound pretty together.
[name_u]Arden[/name_u] and [name_m]Ritter[/name_m] are both such really great names, congratulations!
