Middle name / brother for Nathan

Team green, but the us tech slipped on Fri and used “he”. As in “Oh look! He opened his mouth.”

Up until now (34wks), I thought it was a girl. So we are going in with 3 boy names. What middle for [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] and which name overall?

[name_m]Jacob[/name_m] “[name_m]Jake[/name_m]” [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] Grn
[name_m]Wesley[/name_m] “[name_m]Wes[/name_m]” [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] Gr
n
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] “[name_u]Max[/name_u]” _______ Gr**n

Was hoping to have first or middle be after grandfather “[name_m]William[/name_m]” nn [name_m]Bill[/name_m], (so W or B start) but W is hard with [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]. First son’s middle is [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], so can’t reuse.

I agree with you that [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] doesn’t quite flow, but I think [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] Gr**n flows well.

Between the other two, I lean towards [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] as the first name because of the hard K at the end of [name_m]Jake[/name_m] smashed up against the hard G of your last name.

From your suggestions I like [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] the most with [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]. For me there appears to be a ‘theme’ of repeating letters, so [name_m]William[/name_m] would fit right in. I don’t think [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] is that bad though, I think [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] is worse with the double [m] sound in between the names. In your older son’s name there is a lot of n’s and t’s too, so I think it would only connect if your second had something similar going on. I also like [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] with [name_m]Nathan[/name_m], but I don’t feel the combination with [name_m]Wesley[/name_m].

Other suggestions for middle names:
[name_m]Liam[/name_m] (though [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_m]Liam[/name_m] doesn’t really flow)
[name_m]Wilson[/name_m]
[name_m]Weston[/name_m]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]
[name_m]Bradin[/name_m]

Also, there are many international variations of [name_m]William[/name_m]:
[name_m]Guillaume[/name_m] / Guillot
[name_m]Guillermo[/name_m]
[name_m]Vasili[/name_m]
[name_m]Willem[/name_m]
[name_m]Wilhelm[/name_m]
and I can even see [name_m]Wolf/name_m.

I don’t know whether you want them, but other firsts I like with [name_m]Nathan[/name_m]:
[name_m]David[/name_m]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u]
[name_m]Matthew[/name_m]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]

[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_m]Kane[/name_m]
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_m]Levi[/name_m]
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_u]Chase[/name_u]
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m]
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_u]Kade[/name_u]
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_u]Tate[/name_u]
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_m]Scott[/name_m]

Thank you! I think we’re set on those first name options. The “J” in [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] if for a grandmother/great grandmother [name_u]Joan[/name_u] and the “W” is [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] is for [name_m]William[/name_m]. [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] is for great grandfather [name_u]Max[/name_u].

For some reason, [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_m]Weston[/name_m] works better than [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_m]Wesley[/name_m]. Thank you for that! I also just had a tiny epiphany that we could just say “[name_u]Max[/name_u]-well” is for GGF [name_u]Max[/name_u] and GGF [name_m]William[/name_m]. Then we could use [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] in the middle!

I like [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_m]Warren[/name_m] also, if you’re up for honoring with same initials. Your choices are lovely.

I think [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] is a great idea! I can totally see [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] honouring both [name_u]Max[/name_u] and [name_m]William[/name_m].
