Does it have to have a hyphen? I don’t mind double middle names but I much prefer them without the hyphen. I think the best is [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]

I like [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] better, as it breaks up the repetition of two-syllable names with [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]. I would spell it without the hyphen too though, it looks a lot cleaner. Since they’re middle names and unlikely to be used, I don’t see the point of the hyphen- the only time I’d really recommend using it is for a double first name to make sure people realize they’re both part of the first name rather than a first/middle.
