Middle Name dilemma...

Hello everyone!

In the chance that our family ends up with another boy, I’d like some input on the name [name_m]Randolph[/name_m] as a middle name. This was hubby’s grandfather’s name but I feel like it’s a little too old school. Would [name_u]Randy[/name_u] be suitable as a middle or is it too nickname-y? Any suggestions for other names that could honour [name_m]Randolph[/name_m]?

Our children have two middle names so it would be [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m] _______ or [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] _______ [name_m]George[/name_m].

Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated!

I think [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Randolph[/name_m] is fine. It sounds even better to me with [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]. Other names I thought similar to [name_m]Randolph[/name_m] and [name_u]Randy[/name_u]:
[name_m]Adolph[/name_m] (too bad Hitler kinda ruined that one)
[name_m]Olaf[/name_m] ([name_f]Do[/name_f] you want a build a snowman? just kidding ;))

I think [name_m]Randall[/name_m] is sleeker sounding but could honour a [name_m]Randolph[/name_m]. [name_u]Randy[/name_u] does seem more a nick name to me.

[name_m]Randall[/name_m] and [name_m]Randolph[/name_m] are both great choices. I think [name_u]Randy[/name_u] is a bad choice given its slang meaning…

[name_m]Nathan[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Randolph[/name_m] works fine [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. Sounds very upper crust.

I agree, I’m reminded of how the term is used in the [name_m]Austin[/name_m] [name_m]Powers[/name_m] movies.

I think [name_m]Randolph[/name_m] works fine. I don’t like [name_u]Randy[/name_u]. Other suggestions would be [name_m]Ralph[/name_m], [name_m]Rand[/name_m], or [name_m]Rolf[/name_m].

I like [name_m]Randolph[/name_m], especially if it has family significance. As an alternative, what about [name_m]Ransom[/name_m]?

[name_m]Nathan[/name_m] [name_m]Randolph[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m] sounds great! I wouldn’t use [name_u]Randy[/name_u] for reasons already mentioned.
