Middle name for Amy

I’m expecting my fourth girl, and am really struggling with a middle name.

She’ll be sister to [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Melissa[/name_f], [name_u]Jodie[/name_u] [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]. (We get that [name_f]Amy[/name_f] for the youngest is exactly like [name_m]Little[/name_m] Women (having a [name_u]Jo[/name_u]die as the second isn’t helping), but our eldest suggested it after hearing it in the story and we both really liked it.

There isn’t really any vibe for the middle names like like beyond ‘vintage-ish’. Overall, we like flower/plant names like [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] or [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] (but [name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] might be too rhymey). And we also like ones like [name_u]Florence[/name_u], Dorothy/Dorothea and [name_f]Theodora[/name_f]. Also we like [name_f]Jane[/name_f] as a short, one syllable name. So, in conclusion, there is really nothing.

We both have thought about [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] as an honour name, but [name_f]Meg[/name_f] in [name_m]Little[/name_m] Women’s full name is [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and we think it might be too much. This is kind of why we’re leaning towards [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] since its a nickname for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] but any suggestions to include that would be appreciated.

What kind of names (either the ones above or similar) do you think you’d best with [name_f]Amy[/name_f]?

maybe you’d like amy pearl, since margaret means “pearl” and it’s a nature name :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Daisy is Meg’s daughter in Little Women, so I think they’re equally good.
Amy is such a cute name!! Amy Margaret and Amy Florence are gorgeous. They sound nicest to me and are just so elegant and classic and cute.

I absolutely love [name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and [name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] !!

Would [name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u] work ? It’s a subtle nod to [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] [name_u]Alcott[/name_u] but a shorter version and it feels super cute

[name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] - [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] means [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] so another subtle way to honour the little women and the special [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] in your life

[name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]

We had [name_f]Amy[/name_f] on our list with our son ( we didn’t know the gender till birth). We had a lot of medical complications but we had a kick a$$ nurse named [name_f]Amy[/name_f] who was so fantastic to us ! It’s a name I truly love

[name_f]Amy[/name_f] is so lovely!! I think [name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is fine tbh - [name_f]Meg[/name_f] is more commonly known as [name_f]Meg[/name_f] and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is so well used that I don’t think people qould immediately make that connection

[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] means pearl so maybe [name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]?
