Thank you for the feedback. Most people seem to like [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. What are the reasons for this? The meaning? The flow?
I chose [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Callista[/name_f], second choice would be [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f]. My favorite middle for [name_f]Anna[/name_f] is [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f].
Of the meanings I like best [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f]. Well, I think the first two’s flow is nice, but [name_f]Juno[/name_f] is a bit too short for [name_f]Anna[/name_f].
I can’t decide if my favorite is [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] or [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]…
Your list is amazing - mostly bc of the wonderful meanings! So neat.
It’s funny, I don’t normally like [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], but with [name_f]Anna[/name_f], I think it works really well! Maybe I just prefer it as a middle. It does have a spunk to it!
I voted for [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. Yes, the main reason is flow. And that I love [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f].
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] - very pretty, just don’t think it flows as well as [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. Plus you already have a [name_f]Mar[/name_f]- middle name.
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Callista[/name_f] - nice, but doesn’t have the spunk of [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. Maybe [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] or [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]?
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f] - don’t love the look of this one, both names 4 letters, ending in na/no.
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - pretty but has the repeating -an (letters and sound), I do love [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] tho.
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] - too rhymey.
therefore, [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] wins! I’d say my runners up are [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f].
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] are my favourites. They just look and sound really good together. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] works less well with names with a shared sound ([name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] have “an” and [name_f]Callista[/name_f] has the same “a” ending). [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] would be look better on the page than [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f] (both have four letters so it just looks too short).
Our styles are slightly different, but [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is my fav of your list. I like very sweet names. [name_m]How[/name_m] about:
So far I have ruled out [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f]. I pronounce [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] as [name_u]Cass[/name_u]-arn-drar, but I can see that pronounced with a short ‘a’ it would be rhymey, which is not what I’m going for.
[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] is a favourite as DH’s grandmother is [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], but am concerned about the initials. Our surname begins with a H, so it would be ABH, which in the UK is a violent offence- Actual Bodily [name_m]Harm[/name_m]
I also like [name_f]Juno[/name_f], I love the meaning, and wonder about using with a longer first name e.g. [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f].
DH vetoed [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] and [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] sob back to the drawing board. I may have a play around with my other names and see what combinations/ meanings I can come up with. I also would like to somehow bring in DH’s Irish heritage- perhaps by using two middles- any suggestions? First names are [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and I would like to use [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Marilla[/name_f] as middles.
