I think [name]Anthea[/name] [name]Adair[/name] or [name]Anthea[/name] [name]Lake[/name] sound best but I also think using a namesake trumps sound. I vote to use which has the most meaning to you.
I like [name]Anthea[/name] [name]Lake[/name] best. It has a mix of honoring family and sounding good at the same time. I think it works with your last name too.
I really don’t know which name has the most meaning. [name]Lake[/name] is really a roundabout way of honoring my mother’s family (we all spent summers together in a lake house in a town called Lakeville) so maybe it has less meaning. [name]Loreen[/name] and [name]Keene[/name] are meant to honor both dh’s mother and my mother. [name]Loreen[/name] is a combo of their first names ([name]Kathleen[/name] and [name]Laura[/name]) and [name]Keene[/name] combines mil [name]Kathleen[/name] with my mother’s middle name, [name]Eileen[/name]. [name]Russell[/name] is my father’s middle name and Zeller was my paternal grandmother’s maiden name. I never met her since she died of cancer right before I was born, but my middle name is irene, which was her first name. After writing all this out, I feel that [name]Russell[/name] and [name]Loreen[/name] are the most meaningful!
I love [name]Anthea[/name]! And I have to agree that [name]Anthea[/name] [name]Lake[/name] is very catching (in a good way!) [name]Anthea[/name] [name]Adair[/name] is my second favorite.
I voted for Anthea Keene (I quite love it!), but Anthea Lake would easily be my second choice. I love both, and I love the 3-1-2 balance for the full combo. I think Anthea’s so lovely. I used to adore Althea, but I’ve come to vastly prefer Anthea! Such a beautiful and unexpected name.
ETA: I love the idea of a Puritan-like unusual virtue name like Defiance, although I’m not sure Defiance is quite right… the meaning isn’t the best, and I’m quite into the TV show Scandal lately, and the whole Defiance, OH, scandal in the show puts me off of it. I think something like Anthea Remember or Anthea Thankful or Anthea Mercy would be quite lovely, though…
