We are at a total loss for a middle name to go with [name]August[/name]. Any suggestions are welcome.
Our last name is 2 syllables starts with K so names that in the in the K sound are out ([name]Luke[/name], [name]Alec[/name], [name]Jack[/name] etc).
Also is it strange to name a son [name]August[/name] when our daughter’s middle name is [name]June[/name]?
Some of my ideas, but I’m not in love with any of them:
[name]August[/name] [name]Reed[/name] K
[name]August[/name] [name]Julian[/name] K
[name]August[/name] [name]Max[/name] K
[name]August[/name] [name]Theodore[/name] K
I don’t think it’s weird to name a son [name]August[/name] when your daughters middle name is [name]June[/name], not everyone is going to know that. Whereas if [name]June[/name] was your daughters first name, then yes, it would be a little bit weird.
I adore [name]August[/name], it’s my favourite boys name. I have [name]August[/name] [name]Elijah[/name] [name]Grey[/name] on my list.
I love [name]August[/name] [name]Theodore[/name] and [name]August[/name] [name]Julian[/name] from your own list.
I just answered your other post! I’m favoring [name]August[/name] [name]Henry[/name] if we have a boy (in [name]August[/name]…) but have also considered:
Hmm…
[name]August[/name] is a great wholesome boy’s name. I also love Auggie as a nickname for [name]August[/name]. I don’t think it would be strange to have [name]August[/name] and [name]June[/name] as [name]June[/name] is the middle name and middle names are rarely used. Not many people use middle names in everyday use, and I assume your daughter doesn’t so I don’t think it would be odd at all.
My thoughts on the combinations:
[name]August[/name] [name]Reed[/name] - I like this combination, [name]August[/name] sounds really wholesome with [name]Reed[/name] together the name is really poetic together.
[name]August[/name] [name]Julian[/name] - I dislike [name]Julian[/name] with [name]August[/name] just because the flow is really strange, [name]August[/name] [name]Julian[/name] sounds really harsh together the flow of the combination really disrupted.
[name]August[/name] [name]Max[/name] - [name]Max[/name] sounds unattractive with [name]August[/name] the combination lacking style. [name]Max[/name] just feels strange with [name]August[/name]. Maybe [name]August[/name] [name]Maxwell[/name] or [name]August[/name] [name]Maximilian[/name]? But not [name]August[/name] [name]Max[/name].
[name]August[/name] [name]Theodore[/name] - [name]Theodore[/name] sounds so handsome with [name]August[/name], the whole combination works effortlessly together. [name]Theodore[/name] has a lot of spunk and feels really classic with [name]August[/name]. [name]August[/name] [name]Theodore[/name] sounds lovely together.
