Middle name for BROOKELYNN?

Which is better?

[name]Brookelynn[/name] [name]Grace[/name] [name]Fleming[/name]

OR

[name]Brookelynn[/name] [name]Elise[/name] [name]Fleming[/name]

Any other suggestions? Different spelling suggestions?

Other girl names I’m debating:
[name]Jaiden[/name]
[name]Riley[/name]
[name]Charlie[/name]

Please help!!

I think [name]Grace[/name] is becoming somewhat of a filler name now, whereas [name]Elise[/name] is more unexpected in the mn spot. Only thing is that gives a 2/2/2 syllable count on fn/mn/ln. Only saying that because some people like different syllable counts on each name, whereas for others it’s not a concern at all.

I also prefer the [name]Brooklyn[/name] spelling to [name]Brookelynn[/name], mainly because it seems like a proper name than two smushed together ([name]Brooke[/name]+[name]Lynn[/name]). Like [name]Brooke[/name] on its own though, [name]Brooke[/name] [name]Elise[/name] [name]Fleming[/name] would be gorgeous.

I agree that [name]Grace[/name] is becoming too much of a filler. [name]Brooklynn[/name] [name]Elise[/name] is really cute, but they tend to run together when I say it out loud. Others that have been on my list in the past (although I think they’re somewhat filler too) are [name]Brooklynn[/name] [name]Jade[/name], and [name]Brooklynn[/name] [name]Paige[/name]. Good luck!

I also agree about [name]Grace[/name] becoming a filler name. It’s also a name I don’t like very much so for both those reasons I say [name]Elise[/name] is nicer! I personally don’t mind the syllable thing and I think it works well.

Oooh I really like [name]Brooke[/name] [name]Elise[/name] [name]Fleming[/name]!

[name]Welcome[/name] to nameberry and I hope that we can help you.

Can I please advise you not to give your child a name that is spelt differently to the traditional way? It is not seen as a viable alternative when naming a child as it does not make the name more unique but only causes difficulty for the child and sometimes makes the parent look like they can’t spell properly. Sorry to say that but I have been around for a while and I am just passing on the generally accepted view when naming children.

For example [name]Brookelynn[/name] looks like you are trying to feminise the name [name]Brooklyn[/name]. Further I have seen this name debated on name boards a lot over the years and in general it has received negative comments and sometimes it is because some people do not like the city of [name]Brooklyn[/name]. I would strongly advise you to drop the ‘lyn’ and name her [name]Brooke[/name] [name]Fleming[/name] instead. I think a combo of [name]Brooke[/name] [name]Anneliese[/name] or [name]Brooke[/name] [name]Arabella[/name] or [name]Brooke[/name] [name]Alexandra[/name] would all work perfectly.

In regard to [name]Jaiden[/name] please don’t use this it is fast becoming dated and its not going to age well. I would look for another option if you like unisex style names then [name]Bellamy[/name] nn of [name]Belle[/name] is a good option, and so are these:
Rowan
Wren
[name]Alexis[/name]
[name]Miller[/name] or [name]Milla[/name] or [name]Mila[/name] (I like it said as mee lah)
[name]Paige[/name] always popular
[name]Elliott[/name] sadly is now being used for girls because of the nn of [name]Ellie[/name]
[name]Avalon[/name] nn of [name]Ava[/name]

[name]Riley[/name] yes unfortunately [name]Riley[/name] has gone to the girls but there are better options I feel that it would be better to choose something else you could go for something like [name]Emily[/name] but [name]Emilia[/name], [name]Lilia[/name], [name]Lily[/name], [name]Liliana[/name], [name]Amelie[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name] are all good options.

Instead name baby [name]Charlotte[/name] and nn her [name]Charlie[/name] this will give baby many options later in life eg a lovely classic name that will age really well and the cute nn’s of [name]Charlie[/name] and [name]Lotte[/name].

I love [name]Grace[/name] because it has such meaning and it is a true classic and [name]Grace[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] is lovely or [name]Grace[/name] [name]Eliza[/name]. It makes a great first name.

Other virtue names are popular now, eg,

[name]Faith[/name]
[name]Hope[/name]
[name]Verity[/name]
[name]Joy[/name]

rollo

wow rollo that was some of the BEST advice I’ve seen on this board. I love how candid you are about all the names. It’s so true. Thanks for the being the [name]Simon[/name] Cowell of the berries…and I don’t mean you are harsh and cold but you speak the truth. I agree [name]Jaden[/name] is super dated…[name]Charlie[/name] is cute but that’s all, It was really cute 2 years ago…but now has sort of lost it’s flair and sounds Meh when mentioned here on the boards…

[name]Grace[/name] is definitely a filler mn…[name]Elise[/name] is cute. What about that for the name? Are you living in [name]Brooklyn[/name] are there special memories attached to there?
I hope you aren’t offended either…like [name]Rollo[/name] said the actual spelling is cuter than [name]Brook[/name]-lynne

Okay thank you all so much!! KEEP THE SUGGESTIONS COMING, Everyone is really helping me narrow it down…

Ooh I like the suggestion of [name]Brooke[/name] [name]Elise[/name] [name]Fleming[/name]! I like [name]Brooke[/name] on its own much better than [name]Brooklyn[/name]. I like rollo’s suggestions of [name]Wren[/name], [name]Avalon[/name], [name]Amelia[/name], [name]Amelie[/name], and [name]Emilia[/name] as well. And [name]Verity[/name] is a new love of mine— great suggestion! I think [name]Brooke[/name] [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Fleming[/name] sounds nice too.

I think [name]Rollo[/name] pretty much nailed it, especially on the spelling issue.

I would add that I love [name]Grace[/name] but it is getting very popular, so I would only use it as a mn.

If you like unisex/place names, have you considered [name]Adelaide[/name] or [name]Sydney[/name]?

I would suggest [name]Charlize[/name], rather than [name]Charlotte[/name]; it’s much less common & I think more ‘gutsy’ while still being feminine and you can stiil have [name]Charlie[/name] for nn
