Middle name for Callum?

My biggest must for a baby name is that it be IRISH! I have trouble finding some that aren’t tremendously popular or tremendously hard to spell/pronounce. I fell in love with [name]Callum[/name] (nn [name]Cal[/name]) and think it fits with our other children’s names perfectly. Not pregnant yet, TTC, but my husband and I never see eye to eye on names so I need as much time to reel him in as possible. He’s not set on [name]Callum[/name], but I think I can get him there. The name I had in mind was [name]Callum[/name] [name]Robert[/name] (honors a family member, but that’s not a requirement). He likes some more out of the box names all the sudden, one of them being [name]Jagger[/name] (I don’t know where this came from)… so I also toyed with the idea of choosing [name]Callum[/name] [name]Jagger[/name]- maybe making it more appealing to him?

What do you think of either name, [name]Callum[/name] [name]Robert[/name] or [name]Callum[/name] [name]Jagger[/name]?

And any other suggestions that you think might make hubby happy are welcome… middle name does not have to be Irish since first name is very much so. Thanks :):wink:

I like [name]Callum[/name] [name]Jagger[/name], it would be nice if you picked the first name ([name]Callum[/name]) and he picked the middle name ([name]Jagger[/name]). What about [name]Callum[/name] [name]Rhys[/name]? It’s my nephews name, I think it’s adorable.

I like [name]Callum[/name] [name]Robert[/name], and it’s nice to have a family name. I also like the idea of [name]Callum[/name] [name]Phoenix[/name]- it’s the two birds, [name]Callum[/name]-“dove,” the bird of peace, and phoenix, the bird of rebirth. I think that’s pretty cool, and subtle enough to use.
If you like [name]Robert[/name] to honor a family member (which I think is a great idea) maybe you’d like a related name:
Hopkins-really is derived from [name]Robert[/name]!
[name]Hob[/name]-maybe too close to [name]Calvin[/name] & [name]Hobbs[/name]?
[name]Robin[/name]-again with the bird theme
[name]Rupert[/name]
Hopcyn- Welsh form
[name]Roibeard[/name]- Irish form, not a clue how to pronounce it

[name]Callum[/name] is one of my favourites, but if you need an Irish name, [name]Colum[/name] or [name]Colm[/name] are close alternatives to the Scottish [name]Callum[/name].

[name]Callum[/name] [name]Robert[/name] is handsome and [name]Callum[/name] [name]Jagger[/name] is cool.

I also like [name]Callum[/name] [name]Rex[/name] and [name]Callum[/name] [name]Ross[/name]. Good luck!

I like daisy451’s suggestion of [name]Callum[/name] [name]Phoenix[/name], that is a pretty cool - or “epic,” as my husband would say- name. I’m surprised someone else here is related to a lil [name]Callum[/name] [name]Rhys[/name], which is obviously the best choice ever :wink:

I really like [name]Callum[/name] [name]Robert[/name] too, but [name]Jagger[/name] I just don’t feel goes very well. I like Dantea’s suggestion of either [name]Callum[/name] [name]Jasper[/name] or [name]Callum[/name] [name]Justice[/name].
