Middle Name for Celeste?

Hey Berries! I need to call on some of your expertise here.

[name_f]Celeste[/name_f] is a name that both my husband and I agree on (amazingly!). I’ve had my heart set on [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] Briand for a bit now, but now I’m second guessing myself. Briand (bree-ohnd) is my late grandmother’s maiden name and I personally find it very pretty yet unusual. Lately, though, I’ve been wondering if it’s TOO unusual or a bit overkill paired up with a name like [name_f]Celeste[/name_f].

Trying to find a different middle has proved frustrating. Most of my family (husband included) are averse to names that are too “out there”. The only one I could kinda-sorta see myself using is [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], but I’m not sure if that’s too alliterative.

Any suggestions or opinions on Briand are welcome. For reference, our last name begins with a B, has two syllables, and ends in an “oh” sound.

I think [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] Briand is fine.
The middle is the place to get a little quirky.
If you want a more legitimate name that is similar to Briand, why not try [name_f]Brianne[/name_f] or [name_f]Brianna[/name_f]? (1n or 2n’s).

I love [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] Briand. I also really like maiden names as middles.

Is Briand too close to your last name (start with B, 2 syllables?)
I like the suggestion of [name_f]Brianne[/name_f], [name_f]Brianna[/name_f]. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Bree[/name_f], [name_f]Bria[/name_f], [name_f]Brynn[/name_f], [name_u]Bryn[/name_u], [name_f]Brynna[/name_f], [name_f]Briony[/name_f]?

@waverly123 In theory, it seems like it would be close, but the vowel sounds in Briand are completely different from the ones in our last name (luckily).

I do love [name_f]Briony[/name_f], though!

Thanks for the replies, all.
