I like the sound and look of [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] being my favorite out of the three.
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] has the best rhythm to me. I think you want a name that’s a little more lilting and soft, as [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is fairly straight to the point. You might try a name with a vowel start, such as [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Abilene[/name_u], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Estella[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]…
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Julia[/name_f] have the best flow/sound the prettiest, [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is also quite nice.
I think the names with the accent on the second syllable flow best: [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] is just beautiful.
You make a good point about names that have an emphasis on the second syllable. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is nice. Compare [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Madison[/name_u] to [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f]. Or, [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] to [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]. (Though I still think [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is cute!)
PS @anniecl, your daughter’s name is lovely. I think [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] is stunning! I hope you’ve had good reactions to it?
@lemon thanks for the compliments! The name has been mostly well received, aside from my dad confusing everyone on his side of the family by “explaining” it as “It’s [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], like in Dr. Doolittle!”
I don’t think any of these particularly go with [name_f]Claire[/name_f] but if I had to choose then I would say [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]. I think that [name_f]Claira[/name_f] or [name_f]Clara[/name_f] would flow better with many of these names and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] can be a nn. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is lovely
