Middle Name for Eleanor

DH and I are leaning toward [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] (nickname [name_f]Nora[/name_f]) for our baby girl due in [name_f]September[/name_f].

Her older sister is [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Coralie[/name_f] - a traditional first name with a frilly vintage middle. [name_f]Coralie[/name_f] is also an honor name.

I’d like something similar for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. Either of these two would be honor names:

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]

Opinions?

It doesn’t have to be an honor name, so other suggestions are welcome as well!

(Can’t begin with the letter R, be single-syllable, or be [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f], or [name_f]Alice[/name_f]).

Thanks!

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is wonderful.

Maybe

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Margo/name_f
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]

[name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Coralie[/name_f], and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]

I automatically thought of [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], all your children would have a name that begins with C.

Great suggestions, thanks to you both!

I do have a soft spot for [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], but I don’t know if DH would agree to it…

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] would be my choice. It’s cute, sweet, soft, and spunky. My first thought is [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], but I know it’s a little more common for some people’s taste.

I like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]!

We have [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] on our short list!

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] sounds better to me than [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]!

Thanks to everyone for your input - I’m glad to read that [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is getting good feedback; I wasn’t sure if people would dislike the two vowels together.

I like the [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] suggestions!

Thanks to all for the feedback and suggestions!

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] is gorgeous. I’m starting to fall for [name_f]Susannah[/name_f], so classy and feminine. And it flows amazingly with [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] as a first.
