I’m due in [name]April[/name] and would like opinions on a middle name for [name]Elinor[/name]. My husband is not sold on the name and really prefers [name]Sophia[/name]. So, I was thinking maybe [name]Elinor[/name] [name]Sophia[/name]? Other possibilities are:
We already have an [name]Ethan[/name], [name]Nathaniel[/name] and [name]Peter[/name]. [name]Do[/name] you think [name]Elinor[/name] fits with these names? I’m open to any other suggestions… also other names we have on our list are:
I think [name]Elinor[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] is just gorgeous and would be a wonderful compromise - this way you both get a name you love! And yes it sounds fine with your other children’s names. [name]Elinor[/name] [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Elinor[/name] [name]Marie[/name] are both a little bland compared to [name]Elinor[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] as both [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Marie[/name] are ‘filler’ middle names.
Out of your other options I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Violet[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] [name]Arabella[/name] - I love seeing [name]Rose[/name] in the first name spot.
Good luck - I hope you find the perfect name for your daughter!
I like [name]Elinor[/name] a lot, but I think that [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Marie[/name] look like filler names in the middle. I think [name]Elinor[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] is pretty, as would be [name]Elinor[/name] [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Elinor[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name]/[name]Rosalie[/name]/[name]Rosalind[/name].
That being said, I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Rose[/name] [name]Arabella[/name] (I much prefer this spelling of [name]Arabella[/name], though). While I think [name]Elinor[/name] can be a tomboy name, it just looks a little…prim next to [name]Peter[/name], [name]Nathaniel[/name], and [name]Ethan[/name]. I don’t usually mind having two kids share a letter, but [name]Elinor[/name] and [name]Ethan[/name] don’t look quite right together (to me). I love [name]Rose[/name] in the fn spot, and [name]Rose[/name] [name]Arabella[/name] is warm and beautiful and rich!
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name] uses the names both both of [name]Ben[/name] Affleck and [name]Jennifer[/name] [name]Garner[/name]'s daughters. I think they’re pretty together (though [name]Serafina[/name] is a little too big and flowery for my taste), but I would wonder if you were a big fan of one of their parents… I think [name]Ava[/name] and [name]Sophia[/name] are both really popular, so having both in the same name feels like a bit much. And I like [name]Lilia[/name] [name]Rose[/name], but it doesn’t have the spunk of [name]Elinor[/name] or [name]Rose[/name], so I would stick to one of those.
So I say [name]Elinor[/name] [name]Sophia[/name]/[name]Violet[/name]/[name]Rosemary[/name]/[name]Rosalie[/name]/[name]Rosalind[/name] or [name]Rose[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]. Gorgeous!
I really like [name]Elinor[/name] [name]Sophia[/name]! I think it’s a great compromise and fits in really well with big brothers [name]Ethan[/name], [name]Nathaniel[/name], and [name]Peter[/name]. [name]Elinor[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] or [name]Elinor[/name] [name]Claire[/name] might be nice. [name]Elinor[/name] [name]Penelope[/name]?
I also love [name]Lilia[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] from your list, but I would avoid [name]Violet[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name] as a whole combo (what about [name]Violet[/name] [name]Elinor[/name]?), as [name]Ben[/name] Affleck’s and [name]Jennifer[/name] [name]Garner[/name]'s two daughters are [name]Violet[/name] [name]Anne[/name] and [name]Seraphina[/name] [name]Rose[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. I think [name]Lilia[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] also sound great with your boys.
