We like [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] because it’s Hebrew and we’re Jewish. That being said, we would prefer a middle name related to nature. We live in the PNW and were thinking:

We would also consider J names to honor 3/4 of our grandfathers ([name_u]James[/name_u], [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], [name_m]Jacob[/name_m]). Ideas:

Last name is common and is similar to [name_m]Hartman[/name_m]. We don’t want the name to sound super Hebrew, as in we prefer an American middle name. We like unique but definitely don’t go for super crazy names Other suggestions not related to nature or J are welcome!

[name_u]Ezra[/name_u] [name_u]Reed[/name_u], [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u], and [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] are wonderful! Personally I prefer [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] over [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] [name_m]Forrester[/name_m] but they’re both nice!

I guess [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] [name_m]Forrester[/name_m] [name_m]Hartman[/name_m] sounds more complete to me than [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] [name_m]Hartman[/name_m], but I really love both - can’t go wrong! For some reason I’m drawn to the 3 syllables since the first name is 2 syllables?
Before I read the description, the first name that came to mind was [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. I also like the option of [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] [name_u]Reed[/name_u]. Both names have a nice flow to them.

I live near Seattle and knew people with the first name [name_m]Rainier[/name_m] growing up and thought nothing of it. They weren’t teased about it if that’s what you are worried about.

I don’t think [name_m]Rainier[/name_m] is too obvious, especially as a middle name! I think in that spot it would be really cool and meaningful. Something like Seattle or Seahawk would be too much lol, but I think [name_m]Rainier[/name_m] is a lovely nature-inspired name.
Ezra [name_u]Reed[/name_u] or [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] [name_u]River[/name_u] has my vote. I would also suggest [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] if you want to go for the J name. However, he might get the nickname EJ, which is okay if your like it.
