Middle name for Freya (twin girls!)

Back for more ideas. We’re expecting twin girls in [name]April[/name], and we’ve (nearly) decided on [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Ramona[/name] for the first. My husband loves the name [name]Ramona[/name], and it’s growing on me, especially as a middle with [name]Daphne[/name]. We’re not decided on the second name, but we both like [name]Freya[/name]. I’m looking for ideas for fantastic middles, if you have any.

I love [name]Freya[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] (would be nice to have an Irish name in there) but it’s a bit of a tongue twister with our children’s hyphenated last name (both our last names begin with M). It’s actually not the M that’s the trouble, but maybe the V at the end of the name. Still, it’s in the running. Anyway, if you have any ideas, please let me know! I think one-syllable or three-syllable names would be best, but I’m open to others. Our toddler daughter’s name is [name]Juno[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name].

Thank you!

I thought of [name]Freya[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name] when I read the title and it seems even more perfect knowing you want an Irish name in there

I love [name]Freya[/name]. [name]Freya[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] doesn’t sound too good to me because of the repeating sounds so close together plus the issues you’ve mentioned. If you want something Irish, maybe:

[name]Freya[/name] [name]Siobhan[/name] (shiv-awn) - which is gorgeous to me
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Bridget[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] Daimhin/[name]Davin[/name] – daw-veen
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Etain[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Fiona[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Niamh[/name]/Neeve
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Roisin[/name]/[name]Rosheen[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Yseult[/name]/[name]Iseult[/name] – ee-solt

And others:

[name]Freya[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Willow[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Jasmine[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Penelope[/name]

[name]Freya[/name] [name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Blythe[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Madeleine[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Jillian[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Miriam[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Mariel[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Simone[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Lucille[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Celeste[/name]

I really love [name]Niamh[/name] but the pronunciation is so hard on that one. It’s lovely, though. I also like [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Catherine[/name], [name]Pearl[/name] and [name]Penelope[/name]. I’m starting to doubt [name]Freya[/name] a little, to be honest. Naming two at once is so much harder for me!

[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Ramona[/name] is a great combination and [name]Juno[/name] and [name]Daphne[/name] work well as a sibset. I like [name]Freya[/name] and think it works well with the sibset too-- although [name]Freya[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] may not be the best combination. I like the suggestions of [name]Freya[/name] [name]Roisin[/name] or [name]Freya[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name] from above. I like your ideas about [name]Freya[/name] [name]Violet[/name], [name]Freya[/name] [name]Catherine[/name], etc. as well. If you’re doubting [name]Freya[/name] though, what about [name]Fiona[/name] or [name]Phoebe[/name]? I think both of these work well with your sibset.

Thanks, Davisellu! I love [name]Phoebe[/name], but it’s our cat’s name. Guess that teaches me a lesson (she’s ten, though, so I wasn’t thinking about babies back then). [name]Fiona[/name] is really pretty and it sounds fantastic with [name]Daphne[/name]. I worried it was too popular, but it was only given to 1200 girls last year. Plus I just mentioned it to my husband and he likes it better than [name]Freya[/name]. Hmmm. We’ll have to think about that.
