Middle name for Hazel?

You’re welcome. From a phonetic perspective I think [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] flows the best, by far.

I love your girls’ names, and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] may be my favorite. I have two boys and thought I was done, so I named my dog [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]. And now I’m not done. Oh well! I get a lot of compliments on my dog’s name!

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Sue[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Meg[/name_f]

I actually really like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u], in spite of the Ls smooshing together.

I also like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Jo[/name_u]. I wouldn’t give a nickname name as a FN, but somehow as a middle it sounds cute and sweet to me.

I am cracking up about the dog post. thanks for the smile!!

Ok. Here is my short list in this moment:

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Eileen[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] / [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]

[name_m]Even[/name_m] if my grandma doesnt like her name she is a rock and in her 80s and would be an amazing legacy name. Also [name_u]Lyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] are family names so I like that tradition.

[name_f]Eve[/name_f] is a name I love and gives the single syllable and V theme. Could do [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] too…

[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] / [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] is just so sophisticated and beautiful. Plus you get the double V rocking. That makes me happy.

I liked a lot of the other names too, but these are the ones that stuck the most. I will let these simmer and see where I land.

Many, many thanks!!! All the best wishes to you and yours.

p.s. i didnt know evelyn is derived / connected to [name_f]Eileen[/name_f]. Thats why I go to you experts. youre so good. thanks!

side note…does Hazel Eve seem hard to annunciate for anyone else? (keep in mind my last name is a single syllable that ends in a z and does not roll off the tongue).

If your last name is something like “[name_f]Luz[/name_f]” then I wouldn’t use a single-syllable middle at all. I don’t think [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] is hard to say on its own, but [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Luz[/name_f] doesn’t flow well. It makes me like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] all the more for you.

Also, [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_u]Lyn[/name_u] are a bit close to each other, no?

yeah… my other girls names work just fine with our last name but maybe its because they are three syllable first names with the single syllable middle.
