I’m expecting a girl and for names I’m really liking [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], however stuck for a middle name.
It’s between three(ish) options:
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] (after my mum)
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] (also after mum, since she was called [name_f]Posie[/name_f] as a nickname and [name_f]Posie[/name_f] is also a nickname for [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], plus I like the name and the [name_u]Jo[/name_u] [name_u]March[/name_u] connotations)
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] (or any variant of Louise)(after my grandma)
It’s sort of between those three, but also interested in other options. I don’t want anything too common, which is putting me off [name_u]Louise[/name_u], and generally would like fairly traditional names.
All your names are lovely, but I think I like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] best. [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is a bit heavy on the botanical names, and [name_u]Louise[/name_u] is quite popular if you don’t want anything too common.
I really like the peppy sound of [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] & [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u]! If you’re not sure about [name_u]Louise[/name_u], you could use [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] (but I’m not sure how this compares to [name_u]Louise[/name_u], in terms of popularity). Not a huge fan of [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]- it falls flat for me and I can’t quite figure out why.
Of the 3 options I most prefer [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u], but some other suggestions include:
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Blake[/name_u]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Austen[/name_u]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Marina[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Este[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Sloane[/name_u]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Laine[/name_u]
I like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u]. Some other suggestions are:
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Chrysanthe[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Bianca[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Sabine[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] Mylene
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Blanche[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Marissa[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Katrina[/name_f]
Good [name_m]Luck[/name_m]!
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is so pretty. I also like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f].
I’m not a fan of [name_u]Louise[/name_u] much as I find it a bit plain. If I had to pick. Probably [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f].
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
I really love [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]! [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is nice, but a bit too botanical.
I like the suggestion of [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] above as a [name_u]Louise[/name_u] variant - [name_f]Luella[/name_f] / [name_f]Louella[/name_f] also comes to mind.
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is gorgeous!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] love [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] followed by [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u].
How about:
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Luiza[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Natalene[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Cataleen[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Colleen[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Corinne[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Danielle[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Lainey[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Melanie[/name_f]
All three are gorgeous!
If it was up to me I would choose the name that is the most direct honour of a loved one that you wouldn’t want to not honour if you didn’t have any more children. From the sounds of it you would love to honour your mum so I would choose the name that is the most direct honour which from your wording appears to be [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] has a lovely vintage botanical sound really elegant and warm. Yes the name is very floral but I think it works.
I like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] a lot - the repeating z sounds, love those. Plus, having just lost my Mom, I love it when namers honor their mothers. [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] also has that nice double z sound, though [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] would be my first choice. I don’t know about [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. It doesn’t look or sound as good to me as the others.
I’m fond of [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] and always associate those names.
There are also nice variants of [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] - like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] or [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f].
