Middle name for Ines?

As you can see from my signature, we’ve been trying to decide between [name]Ines[/name] and [name]Eloisa[/name] if this baby is a girl. I’m just starting my second trimester, so we still have some time, but after thinking about it for a few months, we’re leaning more toward [name]Ines[/name]. I think [name]Eloisa[/name] probably is a little too close to [name]Lucia[/name], and my husband seems to prefer [name]Ines[/name] anyway.

Here are the names we’re strongly considering to go with [name]Ines[/name], but I’d love to hear if there are any others that you think would be really great, so we can consider those, too. So far, we like:

[name]Ines[/name] [name]Eloisa[/name]
[name]Ines[/name] [name]Pilar[/name]
[name]Ines[/name] [name]Belen[/name]

As it says in my signature I already have a [name]Lucia[/name] [name]Noemi[/name] and a [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Tomas[/name]. We prefer for the middle name to be in Spanish, but it can be a more “out there” Spanish name since it’s in the middle spot ([name]Ines[/name] [name]Magdalena[/name], for example). What do you think of the options I’ve listed? If you had to choose a Spanish middle name for [name]Ines[/name], what would you choose?
Thanks!

[name]Ines[/name] [name]Eloisa[/name] is absolutely gorgeous, and definitely my favorite of those three options. I do think that [name]Eloisa[/name] as a first name might be a bit confusing around the house with sister [name]Lucia[/name], but I think that it’s absolutely fine in the middle, and it pairs with [name]Ines[/name] beautifully!

It’s not a spanish middle name, but my grandmas name was [name]Inez[/name] [name]Lavonne[/name]… She didn’t care for [name]Inez[/name] and went by [name]Lavonne[/name] instead. Good luck on baby naming!

I really love [name]Ines[/name] [name]Eloisa[/name] and agree that [name]Lucia[/name] and [name]Eloisa[/name] as a first sound a little too similiar for my taste.

[name]Ines[/name] is gorgeous, I love it. I can’t convince my husband of it or [name]Isis[/name] or [name]Iris[/name] but I love all three.

I like [name]Ines[/name] [name]Pilar[/name] and [name]Ines[/name] [name]Belen[/name] the best.

I love [name]Lucia[/name] (said the Spanish way, not as keen on the Italian personally) but [name]Eloisa[/name] isn’t my taste. [name]Ines[/name] [name]Eloisa[/name] also seems heavy on S.

My favourite Spanish middles for [name]Ines[/name]:

[name]Ines[/name] [name]Mariposa[/name] - okay its cutesy but for a middle…?
[name]Ines[/name] [name]Liliana[/name]
[name]Ines[/name] [name]Paloma[/name] - I admit I do love [name]Wren[/name]/[name]Dove[/name] type middles.
[name]Ines[/name] [name]Rosario[/name] - The o makes it pop. I am not as keen on [name]Rosa[/name] but I love [name]Rosario[/name].
[name]Ines[/name] [name]Jacinta[/name] - A favourite flower/scent of mine. So pretty. Yet not too hippie or over-cute.

[name]Ines[/name] [name]Pilar[/name] is very nice. I will also second the poster who suggested [name]Ines[/name] [name]Liliana[/name].

Also perhaps
[name]Ines[/name] [name]Lidia[/name]
[name]Ines[/name] [name]Carmen[/name]
[name]Ines[/name] [name]Adriana[/name]

The two syllable middle names seem to flow really nicely no matter what your last name is. If it’s 3+ syllables, some of the three syllables middles might not flow as well.

[name]Ines[/name] [name]Pilar[/name] is my vote.

[name]Ines[/name] [name]Carmela[/name]
[name]Ines[/name] [name]Marisol[/name]
[name]Ines[/name] [name]Araceli[/name]
[name]Ines[/name] [name]Claudia[/name]

I like [name]Ines[/name] [name]Pilar[/name] best. Maybe [name]Ines[/name] [name]Paloma[/name] would work? I like [name]Ines[/name] with a mn that has strong consonant sounds because for me [name]Ines[/name] feels airy & needs something to ground it. Cause of that I don’t gravitate toward [name]Ines[/name] [name]Eloisa[/name]. I like the suggestion of [name]Carmen[/name]. I also love [name]Dolores[/name] or [name]Marisa[/name].

I love [name]Ines[/name] [name]Paloma[/name] I think is sounds very unique and so beautiful. What a great suggestion!

I like [name]Ines[/name] [name]Paloma[/name] and [name]Ines[/name] [name]Carmen[/name] quite a lot as well. And [name]Ines[/name] [name]Rosario[/name] and [name]Ines[/name] [name]Dolores[/name], but I already know my husband won’t agree to those ones because those names are too “Catholic” for him. I’ll ask about [name]Paloma[/name] and [name]Carmen[/name].

taz, good point about the airy feeling of [name]Ines[/name] and possibly needing a more grounded middle name. Would [name]Ines[/name] [name]Eloise[/name] work better? I know it would be breaking our Spanish trend, but I keep thinking about that as an option.
