I need a middle name for our daughter due in 3 days!
We like-
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Havana[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Willow[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Clare[/name] Cook.
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] Cook was on the list but DH won’t have as it is the meaning of his mothers name (he not a fan of her!). Any others along the [name]Pearl[/name] line but not [name]Grace[/name] of [name]Rose[/name] or too common.
Any thoughts on the syllable combo?
What do you think of our 3 options. Our son is [name]Charlie[/name] [name]Harper[/name] Cook.
I prefer [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Clare[/name] Cook of the three. [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Willow[/name] both are non-flowering nature names, which together feel like too much. [name]Do[/name] you have a strong connection to [name]Havana[/name]? If so, it might be sweet; I like the flow of the three names. But if not, it seems like a curious choice, and definitely different from the mellow, British feel of [name]Charlie[/name] [name]Harper[/name] and [name]Ivy[/name]. [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Clare[/name] matches best with [name]Charlie[/name]'s style and flows prettily–I love it!
Of your three combos I like [name]Havana[/name] the best. My second choice would be [name]Willow[/name]. I was thinking [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name] Cook or [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Maren[/name] Cook, but if you don’t like names that mean [name]Pearl[/name] those are out. Here some more choices:
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Henrietta[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Jacinda[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Millicent[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Octavia[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Magnolia[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Emmerson[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]MacKensie[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Madigan[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Temperance[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Veronica[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Wisteria[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Melisande[/name] Cook
I usually like [name]Clare[/name], but I think the whole thing is too short. Growing up my name was really short, and it was the one thing I didn’t like about my name( although in general I love my name.) I wished it was longer since everyone had longer names than mine. I was glad to have a longer middle name. I hope you are not offended I offered some suggestions. I am sure your baby will love her name no matter what you chose. Good Luck!
Since [name]Ivy[/name] and Cook are both nouns, I would stay away from a noun middle name. What about [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Willa[/name] instead of [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Willow[/name]? I do favor a longer middle name with [name]Ivy[/name]. [name]Do[/name] you like [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Lydia[/name], [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Caroline[/name], or [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Annabel[/name]?
From your list, I like your combo of [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Clare[/name] the best. (However, I am even more enthusiastic about the flow and beauty of ellenelle’s suggestion… [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Susanna[/name] Cook!)
Basically, I’m not really a fan of [name]Havana[/name], but [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Havana[/name] Cook sounds amazing so my vote goes for it. [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Clare[/name] would be the second choice.
I like [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Clare[/name] Cook the best (also love the spelling as an alternative to the usual [name]Claire[/name]).
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Willow[/name] is pretty, but to much considering both are plants.
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Havana[/name] Cook sounds a bit like a fortune teller to me.
I also would like to suggest:
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Renee[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Lisette[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Havana[/name], I think sounds best with your surname. I would avoid the 2 syllable option… 3 or 1 sound best following [name]Ivy[/name] I think.
[name]How[/name] about [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Helena[/name] Cook instead of [name]Havana[/name]?
([name]Havana[/name] just says cigar to me but the sounds together are great)
Instead of [name]Pearl[/name] options:
P sounds:
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Paola[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Penelope[/name] Cook
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Clare[/name] is my favorite from your list, but I like the suggestion of [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Helena[/name] above too. A mn starting with H might be nice to go with [name]Charles[/name] [name]Harper[/name]. [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Louise[/name] or [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Louisa[/name] also works well.
NO to [name]Clare[/name]… makes the name too short, doesn’t flow well with the syllables. I like [name]Havana[/name] best, and I’d vote [name]Willow[/name] second.
I like [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Clare[/name] best, but agree with others that it seems too short. [name]Willow[/name] is nature overload And [name]Havana[/name], I just really dislike. [name]Love[/name] suggestions of [name]Susannah[/name] and [name]Helena[/name]. [name]How[/name] about:
