So after much debate, and my three-year-old daughter’s refusal to call her baby sister by any other name, we’ve decided upon [name]Josephine[/name] for our second little girl (due in a month!).
Now I have to move onto middles, and I’m feeling a bit exhausted by the whole naming process so that’s not helping.
Our older daughter’s name is [name]Evangeline[/name] (-lynn) [name]Reilly[/name]. I didn’t plan to mix classic and ‘modern-ish’, but with our crazy last name, finding a suitable middle is hard. Last name is Greek and four syllables, starts with [name]Con[/name]- and ends with -sis, so anything that starts with C or K, or ends in S tends to sound too choppy or way too ssss heavy.
I’d kind of like to keep the classic with modern-ish concept, but I’m finding it difficult to find middles that really flow with [name]Josephine[/name] so I’m trying to branch out.
I love [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name], [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Leila[/name], and [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Lyra[/name]. Of the three, my favourite is [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Lyra[/name].
What about [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Isis[/name] or [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Eos[/name]? I think the names you chose are excellent, though, so these are just additions.
Thanks, everyone! Sorry for not responding earlier, my daughter wasn’t feeling well last night (which means I am very sleep deprived this morning!)
Seems [name]Eden[/name] and [name]Lyra[/name] are the winners from my list, and got some great additional suggestions too! It makes me feel better to know I haven’t gone completely crazy in this naming process.
Second this completely! I like both [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Lyra[/name] and [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Eden[/name]. [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Luna[/name], [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Vega[/name], [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Pearl[/name], [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Rosa[/name]?
