[name_m]Julian[/name_m] is so soft, it needs a manly middle. I voted [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m].
I agree with boyandgirl. [name_m]Julian[/name_m] needs a masculine MN. If [name_u]Blake[/name_u] were still on the table, I would vote for that.
I voted for [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]! We are naming our soon-to-be son [name_m]Julian[/name_m] as well and are also having a heck of a time with a middle name! mostly since I am really trying for a family name, although not sure thats going to happen or not anyway i agree with previous comments that [name_m]Julian[/name_m] needs a more masculine middle name, thats what we are going for when narrowing it down ourselves. But, i do like the [name_u]Aubry[/name_u] spelling of that name if thats what you end up going for. Good luck!
I like [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] and [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Wesley[/name_m]. [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] does sound a bit cowboy-ish to me. [name_u]Aubry[/name_u] just looks really strange to me. These are just my opinions, though. They’re all pretty good names. Congrats on getting closer and good luck in choosing a name!
Thanks so much for your reply… and thanks for validating some of my initial thoughts!
I also like [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Blake[/name_u]. I’m not a fan of [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m], and the others are too soft for me with [name_m]Julian[/name_m].
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Julian[/name_m]!
I quite like [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] myself. God forbid a boy have a soft name…
Well said-- thank you
I like [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] quite a bit. With [name_m]Julian[/name_m] as the first name it doesn’t sound very cowboy and the two together compliment each other really well while being a little different in sound and style. I don’t think that changing the spelling of [name_u]Aubry[/name_u] changes the fact that it’s a girl name now in the US. I don’t think it balances out [name_m]Julian[/name_m] very well, which is already considered kind of a fussy name by many in the US. [name_m]Julian[/name_m] and [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] are similar in feel and style and they sound nice together but I don’t find it as interesting a combination as [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]. Too bad about [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] though, I think it sounds much better than [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] or [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Wesley[/name_m]. I’m not generally into cowboy names but I do like [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]. But something energetic and snappy in the middle I think is best. Maybe something like [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Locke[/name_m], [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] or [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Oscar[/name_m].
[name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Aubry[/name_u]
or
[name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]
/Can’t choose/
me either… that’s the problem!
I love the sound of [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]/[name_u]Aubry[/name_u]. I’m not a big fan of [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] for girls, but I think it’s charming on a boy. I think this combo has the best flow (though I love the names [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] and [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]). I think I’ll go with [name_u]Aubry[/name_u]–I do think it’s slightly more masculine, only because [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] is the spelling most often used on girls.
I chose [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Wesley[/name_m], followed by [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] <3 I wouldn’t choose Aubrey, as Julian sound-alikes are also used as girls’ names {Julia, Juliet}. Have you considered Sawyer, Weston, Becket, or Wilder as middles?
[name_u]Blake[/name_u] is my pick.
I love [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] and [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Wesley[/name_m]! [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] wins by a tiny hair.
[name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] sounds the best to me. I really like [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] as well. [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] just isn’t really my style. I don’t think [name_u]Aubry[/name_u] will be perceived as much more masculine than [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u], so I would just go with the more common spelling personally. [name_u]Aubry[/name_u] isn’t bad though.
Please see update at top of post!
[name_m]Julian[/name_m] is clearly a boy name for me, but it is a soft and feminine sounding boys name. For me it needs something stronger than [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]. I voted [name_m]Wesley[/name_m], though I’m not in love with the flow. It’s my favorite of the options presented. I know you said [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] is eliminated, but that would be my top pick.
Response to your update: I love it. [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] is super handsome, and plenty masculine. Congrats!
