I am not pregnant, but I keep a name list; [name]Juliet[/name] just moved to the top of it It honors my mother [name]Julie[/name] in quite an obvious manner. The middle names of my other top names honor family. [name]Juliet[/name] is just too pretty to stick it in the middle any longer!
I have a few options so far: [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Eden[/name], [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Maren[/name], and [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Opal[/name] – [name]Maren[/name] and [name]Opal[/name] connect to my family which I normally love, but I really think I’d want to give my possible first-born daughter at least half of her name that is uniquely hers.
Middle names already in use by other top names (aka off limits): [name]Eve[/name], [name]Nicole[/name], and [name]Rose[/name]
So, give me any and all names that you think might go well with [name]Juliet[/name]! I would ask to try and keep them 1-2 syllables, but I’d be willing to entertain a three-syllable name as long as the emphasis isn’t on the last syllable, as that is where the emphasis is on [name]Juliet[/name] when I pronounce it. Thanks!
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name] - funny story, my combo actually used to be [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Juliet[/name], but I have fallen out of love with [name]Adelaide[/name] for various reasons
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] - I considered this, but I think the flow is off
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Georgia[/name] - alliteration again, but [name]Georgia[/name] is cute
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Garnet[/name] - the garnet is actually my birthstone, so that could be a bit awkward to feel like I was honor myself so directly, they also end in the same sound, but I am now considering that for my [name]Amelia[/name] combo, [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Garnet[/name] isn’t bad!
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Jane[/name] - I like [name]Jane[/name], but not so much the alliteration
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Lauren[/name] - [name]Lauren[/name] is actually my current best friend’s name, but I don’t know if we will be friends forever (hoping we are!), but I would also find it strange to honor her before honoring my sister and/or my grandmas. And, [name]Juliet[/name] already honors my mom, and I don’t want the name to feel like it is not her own
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] - I love [name]Maeve[/name], but hadn’t thought of using it in a combo with [name]Juliet[/name]. Would siblings with [name]Maeve[/name] and [name]Eve[/name] as middle names be too matchy-matchy?
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Olivia[/name] - the flow is off for me, but I love [name]Olivia[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Orla[/name] - I can’t get past how close this is to [name]Oral[/name], but the name doesn’t sound so bad
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Rosalind[/name] (Too Much [name]Romeo[/name] & [name]Juliet[/name]?) - I think a little too conflicting! And I’m already planning to use [name]Rose[/name] in another combo
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Rosa[/name] - I would think it strange to have [name]Rosa[/name] and a [name]Rose[/name] for middle names; of course, I'd have to have four daughters to use my combo [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Rose[/name], but never say never
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Anneliese[/name] - a bit too long, but I love [name]Anneliese[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Hope[/name] - I never [i]loved[/i] virtue names, but I think it does give a little gift of sorts; the child can look to her name for inspiration, kind of
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Faith[/name] - see [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Hope[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] - I love the meaning of [name]Blythe[/name], but I don't know if that th-sound is so nice in the combo
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Laurel[/name] - a few too many l's but I like [name]Laurel[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Iris[/name] - really pretty
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] - I also like this!
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Willow[/name] - I always thought [name]Willow[/name] was a bit too "hippie-ish," but I kind of like it!
Would anyone else like to contribute? Thank you for all that did!
[name]Maeve[/name] and [name]Eve[/name] look the same but don’t sound alike. Given how infrequently middle names are used, let alone written out, I don’t think it would be too odd for sister to share.
Also instead of [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Orla[/name], what about [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Orlaith[/name] (pronounced the same way, OR-la) which is another variation of the original Irish name ([name]Orfhlaith[/name] Meaning, origin and history of the name Órfhlaith - Behind the Name — and it’s meaning is lovely too!)
[name]Juliet[/name] is one of my top names, and I’ve always loved [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]. [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] is also great.
Would siblings with Maeve and Eve as middle names be too matchy-matchy?
Not for their middle names. First names, yes, but with middle I think it’s fine!
