For a girl we like the name [name_f]Layla[/name_f] but we’re having a hard time with a middle name. We want to name baby after my mom, [name_f]Alie[/name_f]. [name_f]Laila[/name_f] [name_u]Ali[/name_u] is the boxer’s daughter ([name_m]Muhammed[/name_m] [name_u]Ali[/name_u]) so we’re steering clear of [name_f]Layla[/name_f] [name_f]Alie[/name_f] or [name_f]Layla[/name_f] [name_f]Aliya[/name_f]. I don’t love [name_f]Alison[/name_f] or [name_f]Alicia[/name_f] for middle names…any suggestions out there?? Our last name starts and ends with an A too so there’s a lot of As happening already…
What about a name that ends in -alie? Like [name_f]Coralie[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Natalie[/name_f]…
[name_f]Annaliese[/name_f]/[name_f]Annalise[/name_f] also has your mom’s name sort of tucked in there, without also ending in -a.
[name_f]Layla[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]? It’s only one letter different the [name_f]Alie[/name_f], but it has quite a different sound.
Or I thought of [name_f]Amelie[/name_f]. [name_f]Layla[/name_f] [name_f]Amelie[/name_f]. It has more the right sound, but not the right spelling.
I like the pps suggestion of a [name_f]Layla[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. Very beautiful!
All the best!
