Hey y’all! So after MUCH, MUCH debate my husband and I have finally decided on the name Lexton for our 1st child (baby boy.) Only problem is the middle name I love won’t work with that
I adore the Cajun name [name_u]Landry[/name_u] but the two Ls are obviously a problem. I’d like something 2 syllables and I like a lot of names ending in “y” sounds-extra bonus perfect points if it has a Cajun feel. My family has strong ties to [name_f]NOLA[/name_f]. I’m hitting a dead end so I’m excited to hear your thoughts! [name_f]TIA[/name_f]!
please, please if you have nothing nice to say, move on to a different thread-the first name is a done deal and we are not looking for any negative feedback on our selection-I assure you I have spent an obscene amount of time researching and analyzing first name options to death and we are very happy with our choice, it may not be for everyone and that’s ok but please be kind and respectful of our choice (had to post a disclaimer after some really nasty comments on another forum
)
I’m sorry to hear you’ve recieved negative and/or rude feedback…I actually quite like Lexton, and love the potential nn of [name_u]Lex[/name_u]

Congratulations on finding a name you both love! That can be a hard job :). I quite like it too, and as the pp mentioned, I like the potential of the nickname [name_u]Lex[/name_u]!
If Lexton [name_u]Landry[/name_u] is what you really love, maybe you should just go with it! I’m not always a fan of alliteration either, but it works. Maybe-

I agree that you should revisit possibly using [name_u]Landry[/name_u]. You love it and really, it isn’t terrible, and we seldom say our first and middle names together in real life. He will be known as Lexton (last name).
Lexton [name_u]James[/name_u]
