I think we have decided to name our baby boy [name_u]Luca[/name_u]/[name_m]Luka[/name_m]. Now we are considering a middle name for him, and would love suggestions.
… but could also consider something shorter/different. [name_m]Theodor[/name_m] is a family name, and other family names are [name_m]Anton[/name_m], [name_m]Edwin[/name_m], [name_m]Fredrik[/name_m], [name_m]Johan[/name_m], [name_u]Lind[/name_u]…But cannot really see any of them working?
Also, we haven’t decided how to spell it. i think [name_u]Luca[/name_u] “looks” better, but maybe more feminine? Our last name begins with a K.
I like [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Theodor[/name_m], [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Johan[/name_m] and [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Fredrik[/name_m] from your family names. I prefer the [name_u]Luca[/name_u] spelling personally, I don’t find it feminine.
Thank you for great suggestions. We really like [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] and [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Adler[/name_m]. You don’t think ending and beginning with an A is a problem?
What about [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Anton[/name_m]? Asking since [name_m]Anton[/name_m] is a family name aswell, and has a more Scandinavian feel (we are Scandinavian) - but not sure if [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Anton[/name_m] flows well enough.
I prefer the [name_u]Luca[/name_u] spelling. I don’t think it is overly feminine, and it is a unisex name, so I can’t imagine people judging the spelling that harshly. [name_m]Luka[/name_m] looks a bit clunky to me.
I think [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Anton[/name_m]/[name_m]Anthony[/name_m] is slightly choppy to say because of the ‘-a A’
If you want a Scandinavian feel I would choose [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Theodor[/name_m], because that spelling seems to be by far the most popular here, while [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is more popular in English speaking countries. [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Theodor[/name_m] is also my favorite.
